The continued failure of the United States to reach a direct agreement poses a challenge to the US government, which has been one of the foundations of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
While a new round of nuclear talks resumed in Vienna last week after a few months-long hiatus, many experts believe that developments in the West Asia region could affect the talks, as well as if the two sides return to full compliance with the nuclear deal, there will be a wave of new regional developments.
In an exclusive interview with Qods News Agency, Gordon Duff, senior editor of Veterans Today spoke about the relationship between regional developments and the nuclear talks, saying that “today, the Biden administration desperately needs Iran’s oil on the world markets. The continued failure to end US sanctions has empowered Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman [MBS] to not only continue his predations in Yemen but to begin new adventurism in Lebanon and even Jordan.”
“Now, this is directly challenging a new US government that had been instrumental in negotiation the JCPOA in the first place,” he added.
Referring to Saudi lobby on the US soil, Gordon Duff noted that “MBS has used his power in Washington and Saudi Arabia’s long-secret partnership with Israel, including sharing the powerful control Israel has over US media and key political leaders, to crash the American economy by driving up fuel prices while a secretly funded anti-vaccine movement kills many thousands each week and sets the stage for new, more powerful variants to decimate the massive unvaccinated population of the US.”
The US journalist also talked about the positions of some Arab regimes against Iran’s nuclear talks which are similar to the Zionist regime’s position, adding that it is a result of normalization of ties.“Normalization efforts, the UAE and others with Israel are based, primarily, on Trump efforts on behalf of Israel. Trump’s relationship with Israel’s Kosher Nostra oligarchs goes back to the 1980s when he was ‘catfished’ into a marriage with an Eastern Bloc woman some assert was an intelligence officer. You see, it is necessary to recognize Israel.”
