The day when the superpower fell to their knees

FARAAN: On Monday, the United Nations Security Council approved the US resolution on permanent ceasefire, immediate withdrawal from Gaza, exchange of prisoners, return of refugees and rejection of any change in the population structure in Gaza with 14 positive votes and one Russian abstention .

In these few lines, we do not intend to go into the details behind the scenes of this resolution, which is based on Joe Biden’s cease-fire plan and modified in a way that is accepted by other countries and fits the conditions of resistance. The point we are considering here is that the world’s most lethal power, that is, the United States, seeks refuge in the Security Council of the Security Organization to stop the aggression of the Zionist regime in Gaza – even after this regime has not achieved any of its goals.

There is no doubt that if the Zionist regime could achieve its goals in Gaza, including the destruction of Hamas and the release of its prisoners, the United States – as a country that is directly involved in the attacks of this regime on Gaza – would never touch the lap of the Security Council and it could not be done in other countries. In fact, these two, the United States and the Zionist regime, still did not shy away from violating international laws and resolutions of the Security Council and the United Nations if they could achieve their goals by resorting to the force of arms.

The tenth of June will be recorded in history as the day when a superpower was defeated by the iron will of resistance in Gaza and the legendary patience of its people’s base. It was the resistance and the people in Gaza who achieved this historic victory, preventing the arrogant aggressors from reaching their goals, despite the aggressors not respecting any red lines and dropping the equivalent of all the bombs used in World War II on Gaza.

They starved the population, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of children, and through a medical blockade, caused the deaths of an equal number of children; approximately 40,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, were martyred in these attacks. Over 10,000 Palestinians were buried under rubble, about 100,000 others were injured, and more than 70% of Gaza’s buildings were completely destroyed.

The totality of the crimes committed in Gaza over the past eight months amounted to genocide in the true sense of the word, and this time the world did not bow down to this superpower. What happened in Gaza cannot be forgotten; the Zionist regime will remain under the scrutiny of the International Criminal Court, the Hague tribunal, and world public opinion until it pays for its crimes in Gaza. This is especially true if the world does not want the crimes in Gaza to be repeated elsewhere.

The Islamic resistance in Gaza exposed the superpower in this way, demonstrating that nations – even if besieged and armed with nothing but will and faith – can fight the world’s most rebellious power and bring it to its knees. The superpower’s primary goal in Gaza was to erase the Palestinian cause from the memory and consciousness of nations, to erase the Palestinian people from existence, and to remove Palestine from the map. However, Palestinian resistance brought the Palestinian cause back to the forefront of international attention, making it the top issue in world public opinion, with the Palestinian flag being raised on all continents. Most importantly, resistance proved that the Palestinian issue cannot be eradicated by force of arms, and all the events of the past eight months in Gaza testify to this claim.

From now on, Netanyahu must be careful because it is unclear where the next blow will come from; international courts? Internal regime courts? Or the truth-finding committee related to the October 7 defeat? Whatever happens, Netanyahu’s fate is prison. He will be remembered as a child murderer, a war criminal, a failed leader, and a corrupt and deceitful politician in the darkest place in history.

The resistance axis, including Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Ansar Allah in Yemen, and the Islamic resistance in Iraq and Syria, implemented a strategy of unified fronts, dedicating all their efforts to defeating the superpower and are the main partners in Gaza’s victory. The resistance axis will also continue to have significant influence in future regional equations, and no power in the region or the world can ignore it.
