Remembering the demise of Hazrat Khadijah (S.A)

Imam Reza holy shrine has programmed mourning ceremonies for demise anniversary of Hazrat Khadijah (SA), with full observance of health protocols.

Faraan: Thanks to great endeavors of the servants of Imam Reza holy shrine, all courtyards and porticos of the complex have turned into black, becoming ready to host mourners of Hazrat Khadijah (SA) from Iran and many other countries.

Flocks of mournful fasting pilgrims of the holy shrine have come to the complex in black cloths adding to the sense of sadness of the ceremonies. The special program of the martyrdom night will be held for all Iranian and foreign visitors and pilgrims with speech and eulogy recitations by salient lecturers and panegyrists at Imam Khomeini portico of the complex.

Also, special mourning programs of the day of departure will be started by speech of national university and seminary scholars on Tuesday morning and will be continued by eulogy recitations of famous Iranian panegyrists. The Office for Foreign Pilgrims’ Affairs of Imam Reza holy shrine will have separate mourning ceremonies for non-Iranian pilgrims in different languages of Azeri, Arabic, and Urdu at Dar al-Marhamah, Dar al-Rahmah, and Kowsar porticos.

Hazrat Khadijah (SA) was the first wife of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh); she was also one of the first followers of the Prophet (pbuh) of Islam. Khadijah (SA) was an exemplary woman of great nobility and ability, insight, courage and perseverance. She was a successful businesswoman in her own right. Khadijah (SA) is mother of Hazrat Zahra (SA) and she is often referred to by Muslims as ‘Mother of the Believers’
