Syria: We do not cooperate with the terrorist Turkish government

Syria has denied any contact with the Turkish government, stressing that co-operation in the fight against terrorism is not possible with a regime that supports terrorism.

Faraan: An official source in the Syrian Foreign Ministry told the Syrian government news agency (SANA): “Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s brutal attacks on Syrian citizens in northern Syria in collaboration with affiliated terrorist groups, as usual, the regime tries to spread fake news, this time claiming that there have been contacts at various levels between the Syrian government and individuals from the Turkish regime, once at the security level and once at the political level.”

The source added: “The latest of these lies is what the Turkish regime’s foreign minister said about the possibility of cooperating with Syria in the fight against terrorism, and if this shows anything, it shows that the Turkish Brotherhood regime is not realistic and the plague of lies is no longer limited to Erdogan, the infection has spread to other officials of his regime.”

The source stressed that the Syrian Arab Republic fundamentally denies all these statements and news and considers it a kind of political delusion by this regime. The source concluded: “Syria will be transparent in the event of any cooperation with any party. Damascus cannot cooperate in the fight against terrorism with the terrorist regime that supports, educates and spreads terrorism in the region and the world.”
