In this exercise, the elite Syrian forces successfully completed their hypothetical operation and reached their goals in the difficult-to-access areas of Syria.
SANA news agency wrote about this exercise: “This joint exercise showed a high level of coordination and high efficiency in achieving the desired results in military exercises between the two sides.” Previously, Russian and Syrian pilots had held exercises throughout Syria, including in the vicinity of the occupied Golan Heights. Russia has also sent bombers and fighters equipped with supersonic missiles to Syria to participate in exercises in the Mediterranean Sea.
On Wednesday, Russian officials announced that in recent weeks, northern Syria has seen Moscow and Damascus move against Turkey, and the two countries have established joint military bases in areas under the influence of Kurdish militias.
