At least 50 Gaza patients a day affected by Israeli closure

The Israeli Occupation Authorities (IOA) closed all Gaza crossings and some nearby roads were subsequently closed off, over the past week.

Faraan: According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report, the shutdown affected 50 patients a day in need of healthcare outside of Gaza, including cancer patients. The report also pointed out that the latest Israeli attack has further delayed the entry of 14 portable x-rays and spare parts.

The report estimates the most urgent health needs to the value of US$ 2 million which include drugs, disposables, laboratory supplies and fuel for major hospitals. Israel has launched a three-day aggression on the Gaza Strip starting last Friday evening, leaving 47 Palestinian citizens killed and 360 others wounded, in addition to vast material damage.
