UN Official: Time to End Israeli Attacks Has Come

FARAAN: Dennis Francis, the current President of the General Assembly (Seventy-Eighth Session) of the United Nations, in response to the developments in Gaza, stated that the time has come to end the Zionist regime’s attacks on this strip, emphasizing: “This situation must cease.”

The President of the UN General Assembly condemned the continuous attacks and massacres by the Zionist regime in Gaza, saying: “Enough of this situation.” Francis expressed that many civilians in Gaza have already lost their lives, with a significant number of women and children killed during the Israeli army’s assaults, which could have been prevented.

Continuing, the President of the UN General Assembly pointed out that this situation is certainly preventable and underscored that establishing a ceasefire in Gaza is among the most crucial matters that hopefully lead to a political process capable of achieving a two-state solution because this cycle of bloodshed and sustained destruction is unsustainable.

He also emphasized that the continuation of violence in Gaza will lead to more hatred, destruction, pain, and suffering. He stated: “Now, assurance must be given to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza and support them in rebuilding their homes and lives.”

After nearly 9 months of aggression with no results or achievements by the Zionist regime against Gaza, this regime is increasingly engulfed in internal and external crises. During this period, the Zionist regime has achieved nothing other than atrocities, massacres, destruction, war crimes, violations of international laws, bombing relief organizations, and causing famine and hunger in the region.

The Israeli regime has lost this war without considering any future gains and has even failed to coerce resistance groups in a small area under siege for years into surrender. It has also lost global public opinion due to its blatant atrocities in Gaza.
