FARAAN: The head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament said: The Islamic Republic of Iran will take decisive and deterrent action, and the child-killing Zionist regime will face severe punitive measures from Iran.
In an exclusive interview with Al-Alam News Network, “Ebrahim Azizi,” head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, regarding the assassination of martyr “Ismail Haniyeh,” the head of Hamas’s Political Bureau – in Tehran – by the Zionist regime, stated: Martyr Haniyeh participated in the inauguration ceremony of the President in the Islamic Consultative Assembly. He was one of our special guests, and after the ceremony, he also attended the side events arranged by the Islamic Consultative Assembly. Later, in the final hours, he moved to a designated place for rest, where, in a cowardly and beastly act by the Zionist regime, an innocent and defenseless man was martyred in a non-combat situation.
He continued: In this incident, it is essential to note that Martyr Haniyeh was our “guest.” He was on the soil of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and his assassination is considered an “invasion of our territory.” This terrorist act is regarded as an “entry into the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.” This act can be interpreted as a kind of “declaration of war,” and therefore, we view this incident from these perspectives.
The head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament emphasized: What has happened and the behavior exhibited is contrary to all legal, international, human, ethical, religious, and moral principles, which we consider to be against all principles, and we are determined to address this matter. Azizi explained: To understand why the Israeli regime engages in such assassinations, we must look at past events and incidents. We must go back to the slogans, goals, doctrines, and actions that the Zionist regime has implemented over the years and the results it hoped to achieve but ultimately became disappointed and frustrated. We should also look at the actions taken by the resistance front against the fake Zionist regime.
He pointed out that the Zionists used to say ” (O Israel, your territorial boundaries are from the Euphrates to the Nile), meaning that this regime was supposed to take a series of actions to occupy and establish itself from the Nile to the Euphrates. In this context, while resistance fighters in the occupied lands once defended themselves with stones, today, we see that Islamic resistance fighters are battling Zionists with the most advanced weapons. Azizi emphasized: The Zionists had hoped to extend their territorial borders to the Euphrates, but today, they are fighting resistance fighters in the occupied settlements, house to house, alley to alley.
The head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament said: The terrorist act of the Zionist regime, which led to the martyrdom of Martyr Haniyeh, is against the security interests and strategic goals of the Islamic Republic of Iran and also violates our laws. Azizi, regarding the dimensions of the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh, noted: The occupying regime has violated our principles, and we consider this issue to be security-related, political, and military, so this matter is “multi-dimensional” and “multi-faceted,” and it cannot be categorized solely as “military” or just “security-related.”
Azizi added: Iran’s response will be comprehensive; we consider all forms of response to be our right, and with divine grace, we will deal with the Israeli regime in a way that will be remembered in history; we will act against the fake regime so that they understand and realize that any behavior they have had with the brave Iranian nation and the courageous people of Iran, and with Iran’s security, they will no longer be able to commit such actions.
