A convoy of the Turkish army has entered the Azaz region of Syria

A convoy of Turkish troops entered the Azzaz area in northwestern Syria and northern Aleppo on Thursday morning.

Faraan: Earlier this week, Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the creation of a 30-kilometer safe zone on Turkey’s southern border (northern Syrian strip) and stated that the decision would be announced on Thursday after a meeting of the country’s National Security Council.

Coinciding with the arrival of the Turkish military convoy, statements were issued in the region calling for the cooperation of its residents with the Turkish military.

The Azzaz area has been occupied by the Turkish army for the past few years, but the transfer of new troops will be to occupy other areas, which experts say is Tal Rifat, south of Azzaz and north of Aleppo. Ankara has occupied these areas under the pretext of confronting PKK groups and their followers in Syrian Kurdistan.
