During his visit to Ramallah, the US Secretary of State met with the President of the Palestinian Authority and discussed developments in Palestine.
Faraan: The US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
During the meeting, Abbas criticized the one-roof, two-air policy of the West in dealing with Russian military operations in Ukraine, on the one hand, and ignoring the crimes of the occupying regime, on the other.
Referring to the Ukraine crisis, Abbas said: “This war has exposed the duality of criteria, while the crimes of the occupying Israeli regime have reached the level of cleansing and racial discrimination, as human rights organizations have acknowledged.” He added that there was no party to accuse Israel of acting as a supranational state.
Rai Al-Youm quoted him: “Silence in the face of what is happening in Palestine is not possible, and international law is inseparable, and the question is whether it is possible for the occupying regime to dominate the Palestinian people and violate it. Should its legitimate rights continue without any measures being taken to end this occupation?”
