Sermon 1 : Adl and Imamat – The only two responsibilities on us
Sermon 2 : 13th Rajab “Destroyer of Khyber” – Followers of Haidar will destroy Khyber of today
The protection of life of man in the world and after death is dependent on Taqwa. A Muttaqee society is one where all aspects of human beings are secure. Essential foundation of Taqwa is Adl just like all other systems for human being. Allah has ordered man two essential things, Adl and Ehsan. These are two social policies and human behavior in every aspect of life. Similarly Allah has established the foundation of religion as well on the basis of Adl. The teachings of Ahlulbayt (a) has specifically focused on two things Adl and Imamat. These two are related to the complete system of religion. Adl is the foundation of the internal structure of human society just like spinal cord. The system of society established by Allah is on Values and virtues (Fadhael). The Fazeelat is a perfection and not praising. If there is any perfection found in someone it is his Fazeelat. The scholars categorize perfection as two; one are those perfect traits which forms the essence of human life and secondary perfect traits are those which enriches, beautifies and grows the essence are life. Both of these are virtues that are part of human life and are basis of human life development. The social structure of human life is based on these virtues and not means. The means are the resources essential for human life but not the structure of religion. The way body needs food to survive, but food is not the structure of body. If we have piles of means but not the structure, then it would be like the body of someone has been destroyed but still he has abundant wealth. First the society should be formed on its principles, pillars then it has to be established through means.
Guidance for human being is social which we have made upside down and believe that it is for individuals only. The people as Ali (a) says has worn the attire of religion upside down. Imam Hussain (a) says that the pot of religion has been turned down and everything inside has fallen outside and only some fat has remained on its based. This is the state of Islam. The Banu Umayyah made the Ummah wear the attire of religion upside down and no one then got it back correctly. This has happened with everyone and not just for specific sect. Even in Shias we can see the foundations have been left and footnotes have been made as actual syllabus of religion. The book of practical laws of Islam if you see there are only laws for individual acts of worship. These are all for individual life which is secondary but actual life is social. The Quranic guidance is also for social life and individual life laws in Quran are like footnotes or we can say footpath where vehicles do not run, they are made for protection of street.
The system Allah made is social and guidance is social under whose laps is the individual life. The Adl or Taqwa is for social life. All the addresses of Quran are for society. In social life the foundation is Adl. Just like Imamat whereby every Prophet is an Imam. The Imamat is the pillar to execute that internal structure of society. It is a system to guide the society making them firm on the path and reach destination, protecting it from calamities, enemies and destruction. The system of Imamat has not reached people and to those who have reached they have made it upside down. The core has become footnotes and vice versa. The social life has been thrown away and the individual life has become core. Adl went into footnotes and Imamat was totally abandoned. It is more astonishing for those who consider Adl and Imamat as Usool e Deen, so where is your Adl and Imamat. Allah (s) has sent Prophets also for the same purpose. The Prophets have come to establish Adl which is not just judiciary but instead in entire life of human being. The connection of Imamat and Adl is such that they go together.
Today if you see there are three branches of Shiite. The 12 Imamia Shia, the Ismaeli and the Zaidi Shias. The Zaidis are connected with their Imamat since centuries. They have established the system of Imamat and connected with their Imam Abdul Malik Houthi. Ismaeli’s have their Imam Agha Khan. These two sects are not under any King or dictator, they are under their Imam. The 12 Imamia Shias are followers of where they are. In Pakistan they are followers of popular (Khan) , in India they follow Modi. They do not secure their identity. Imam Sadiq (a) was in the era of Banu Umayyah but he and other Imams preserved their identity and did not allow it to become part of any other party. They did not select those who entered other parties like Banu Salmah, Abu Muslim Khorasani. Where is the power of Shiite today? In our traditions it is found that Imam Mehdi (a.t.f.s) will reappear, so what will he do after returning? The Prophet (s) says that when my son will reappear, he will fill the land with Adl whereas the land would be filled up with tyranny and oppression. The purpose of reappearance of Imam (a.t.f.s) is establishment of Adl. From here we understand both the principles of Adl and Imamat which we have both practically forsaken. We have kept Imamat as a belief and rituals, but when elections come we can see how many go towards Taghoot. The Imamat should be kept alive when everyone else is going towards Banu Abbas. We have established duties for Imam to come inside my grave after my death and you should enter my life before that. Prior to death we will do elections, make governments and do everything on our own but after death we are helpless so Imam should come in our grave at that time.
Allah has made man as Caliph, representative for the earth , for this world life. We have to remain connected with Imamat in this world for the sake of establishing Adalat. The purpose of Prophethood and Imamat is both Adalat. It is that objective for which Allah has made all these arrangements.
In Surah Hadid verse 25
لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ النَّاسُ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنْزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ وَرُسُلَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ {25}
Certainly We sent Our messengers with clear arguments, and sent down with them the Book and the balance that men may conduct themselves with equity; and We have made the iron, wherein is great violence and advantages to men, and that Allah may know who helps Him and His messengers in the secret; surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.
In Quran whenever the world Rasool is used , it is not just for Prophets. The messengers is for all those who deliver divine messages includes Angels as well. The Prophet (Nabi) is only one term , he is one on whom divine revelations are sent. There are two types of messengers, one are those who are directly awarded the duty like Prophets and Angels. The Rasool means one who delivers message. Hence the other type of messengers are also those human beings who deliver the divine messages.
In this verse, it is mentioned that we have sent our messengers with clear (Bayana) signs, that is without being cloudy, shady and are elaborated. Then we have given them the Book (Kitab) which means a constitution. Kitab means to join things separate together and securing in such a manner that they cannot get separated. Allah has gathered all the principles of guidance together , secured them and given. The third thing that Allah has given to Messengers is Meezan, which is the tool used to weigh. The tool that gives discipline, organization to human life. Allama Tabatabai (R.a) says that Meezan is the religion. Through these people should rise and establish Adl. Then there is Hadid (metal) which means power that should be used to establish Adl. The Ulama translate this is a sword, which means Allah has granted sword as well to establish Adl. With these it will be known who are those who walk on the religion of Allah and with the Prophets.
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مُهْتَدٍ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ {26}
And certainly We sent Nuh and Ibrahim and We gave to their offspring the (gift of) prophecy and the Book; so there are among them those who go aright, and most of them are transgressors
Then the next verse says what we have given to the Prophets, has been transferred to their progeny as well and there are two type of people there, few are guided and most are transgressors.
These verses explain the purpose of Prophet that is to establish Adl and it is done through Imamat. When Imam comes, it is reappearance of Imam but establishment of Adl. In religion Allah has established only Adalat and Imamat as the prime responsibility and nothing else. Unfortunately we have forsaken both. We have forgotten Adl and replaced Imamat with something else. We have darkened both our life and hereafter. The Adl is the foundation of religion, Taqwa and society. The guidance of society takes place through Imamat. This is the religion of Allah discussed by Allah. There are many traditions as well which we will mention later.
Sermon 2
Today’s generation should feel ashamed about the absence of humanity from amongst us. As per one tradition Allah has kept all values, virtues wrapped inside a very delicate cloth which secures all values and if it gets torn then all values, virtues would be lost. The name of this cloth is Haya (modesty). If Haya ends, then do not expect any other values or virtues to remain. The shamelessness is not just man and woman have illegitimate relationship, exposure of body or lustful scenes and acts. The shamelessness means where man should feel ashamed but does not feel ashamed; this is shamelessness (immodesty). To talk about something man should feel ashamed, while seeing, while eating he should feel ashamed if he does not in these then he is shameless. If you see on this criteria the humanity of today has lost modesty, shame (Haya). Today the entire humanity and specifically Muslims have lost their Haya and shame. That proof of this is the oppression that has started from 8th October continuously innocent people, women and children are being killed and no help is coming for them from anywhere. We should have felt ashamed on this but we are living our ordinary life. This is the biggest shamelessness irrespective whether we are full dressed, in Hijab, sitting in mosques but if we have not taken any step for these oppressed we are living a life of shame. Do not be deceived by your own self. In this shameless humanity we still have expectations that they will all go to paradise; we go to kiss their feet. If they had humanity he would have raised voice for Gaza, Palestine. The entire scene of world is dreadful. At times we can see people remember Gaza. Last week certain scholars of Pakistan gave good statements like Maulana Taqi Usmani gave good statement. The first gathering he did after two months, then second after one month. Still it is better he raises his voice in breaks which people follow. We appreciate about the preaching he has done. He counselled people that those who are doing Umrah should give their money of Umrah for Palestinians. But people have sacred craze of doing Mustahab things so it is not expected that people follow his advice. Quran says it is not Birr that you face east or west, but instead Birr is delivering your covenant. The money will not help them as such, because your money will not reach. They have said repeatedly that we need weapons. Ismail Haniya has appealed the world that entire world is giving weapons to Israel. This has come in media as well that Pakistani weapons have also reached Israel might be through some other sources if not directly. We have forgotten our responsibilities. This month of Rajab is of Holy month in which we have big opportunity.
This year on 13th Rajab we have foundation day under the title of “Destroyer of Khyber” from whom we have to learn how to eradicate Marhab and conquer Khyber of today. We have to be prestigious in front of him. This is the day of covenant and the followers of Haidar, they will do a covenant and whatever is possible we will decide after that. Saudi has said this again we want to establish friendly relationship with Israel when the war ends with termination of Palestinians. We pray to Allah to destroy Yahood and Ale Saud both from this earth.
