FARAAN: East of the Euphrates is on the verge of important developments, the elements and components of which have not yet been completed.
Commentary:
Hoda Rizk, an expert on regional and international issues, said that America is deploying politically and militarily in the east of the Euphrates and in the south of Syria, and more specifically in the al-Suwayda region.
This expert told Al-Alam news network that it should not be forgotten that Joe Biden, the president of the United States, is the theorist of the federalism system in Iraq and Syria, and his opinion was that these two countries should have a federalism system, not a centralized one. Therefore, he personally insists on the re-establishment of this country’s forces in the east of the Euphrates. This is despite the fact that before him, Trump had deployed American forces in this region under the pretext of supporting the Qasd and other nomads and minorities.
He pointed out that in the past two weeks, the issue of Al-Sweida has been noticed because of its place in the plans of the US and the Zionist regime and the plan to create new bases for the US forces. This expert also emphasized that the resistance forces in this area have disrupted the implementation of this plan to some extent.
He clarified that America’s goal of new movements in this region is to warn Iran, Russia, and even Saudi Arabia and those Arab countries that have returned to Syria and started rebuilding this country. With these movements, America is trying to convey that it is still present in the region and that the initiative in the economic, political and military fields is in its hands.
Political researcher Muhannad Al-Zaher also says that since 1980, the plan to divide Syria into four small countries has been proposed based on ethnic and religious identities.
He says that among these, three countries will be formed based on religion and sect, and one country will be formed based on race and ethnicity, because there are clear and notable contradictions in these regions. But the Syrian government did not fall into the trap of sectarian and religious war and was able to thwart this plan.
This expert says that the religious division plan of Syria failed from the very beginning of the so-called “Spring” unrest. Especially with the liberation of the city of Homs, the plan to divide Syria failed completely. However, the US always has a plan up its sleeve, so it should have created a preoccupation for the Syrian government, and accordingly, it still has the mentioned plan on the agenda, and this time the island Syria is targeting the so-called east of the Euphrates and is trying to stay in this area and implement its plan under the pretext of supporting the Kurdish minority and the “Deir Ezzor Military Council” and the nomads. This expert states that the use of these names and titles shows that America is still pursuing its plan and creating sectarian and religious chaos in the region.
This expert points out that, in order to implement its plan, America is taking full advantage of Russia’s entertainment – as a supporter of the Syrian government against America’s plans in the region – in the war in Ukraine to make the region east of the Euphrates the scene of war and slow down sectarian conflicts.
