FARAAN: In a conversation with his Indonesian counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran acted against the aggression of the Zionist regime within the framework of international laws, and pointed out that the main source of tension and war in the region is the Israeli regime. Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, and Retno Marsudi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, in a telephone call, discussed the latest developments in the region as well as the trend of bilateral relations between Tehran and Jakarta.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, while thanking Indonesia for its efforts to achieve rights and help Palestine, as well as the country’s negative vote in the Human Rights Council in favor of Iran, invited the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country to visit Tehran. Amir Abdollahian appreciated Jakarta’s position in condemning the Zionist regime’s aggression against the Iranian embassy building in Damascus and informed his counterpart about the latest developments in the region, especially the legitimate defense of Iran’s armed forces.
While stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran acted against the aggression of the Zionist regime within the framework of international laws, the Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the main source of tension and war in the region is the Israeli regime. He emphasized: “We never seek to develop tension in the region and the Islamic Republic of Iran will always remain an important part of stability and security in the region.”
In this conversation, while thanking Amir Abdul Hian for expressing his views and explaining the positions of our country, the Indonesian Foreign Minister also called for continued consultation, cooperation and interaction with Iran regarding the Palestinian issue and stated that we have emphasized in our statement that the events and incidents should not let them forget what is happening in Gaza and the cause of Palestine should be kept alive. The parties discussed some bilateral issues.
