Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has expressed condolences over the passing of Iranian cleric Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Nasseri.
Faraan: In a message released on Saturday, the Leader condoled the demise of Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Nasseri to the people of Isfahan, all the devotees and his honorable family.
Ayatollah Khamenei also prayed to God to bestow divine forgiveness and blessings on him and elevate his ranks [in the Heavens] to the highest. Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Nasseri passed away on Friday in Isfahan at the age of 92. This was announced by the office of the cleric on Friday, adding that information on the time and place of the funeral procession will be announced later.
He was born in 1930 in Esfahan. After finishing primary school in Dolat Abad, he attended Esfahan Seminary School. At 14, he immigrated to Iraq’s Najaf along with his father and continued his seminary education in the holy city. He attended classes of senior scholars such as Mohammad Kufi, Seyyed Mohammad Kashmiri, Sheikh Abbas Ghouchani, Seyyed Hashem Haddad, Seyyed Jamaleddin Golpayegani, and Allameh Tabatabai. Naseri used to provide lectures, especially on Islamic ethics, at Kamar Zarrin Mosque in Esfahan.
