FARAAN: On the 263rd consecutive day, the Zionist regime’s military continues air and artillery attacks, committing crimes against Palestinian civilians. The Palestine Information Center reported: Today (Tuesday), Zionist regime’s fighters and artillery targeted homes and crowded areas in various parts of the Gaza Strip, resulting in dozens of people killed or injured.
Alongside widespread ground attacks on Rafah, the Zionist soldiers targeted various areas of the Gaza Strip with air and artillery attacks, bringing about horrific crimes. This is happening while the prevention of humanitarian aid and the depletion of available goods in the market continue to expand the circle of famine and hunger in northern Gaza.
The Zionist regime’s fighters destroyed a house in the al-Shati camp in the west of Gaza City on its residents. In this attack, 15 people were martyred, most of whom are still under the rubble. Local sources said Ismail Haniyeh’s sister, the head of Hamas’s political office, and several women and children are among the martyrs. Zionist regime’s fighters also attacked areas in the southwest of Gaza City.
The Gaza Civil Defense Center also reported the presence of its forces at three bombarded locations including Abdul Fattah Hamoud School in the al-Daraj area, Asmaa School in the al-Shati camp, and the al-Zamily family home in the al-Shuja’iya neighborhood. Civil defense forces extracted 13 martyrs and several injured from under the rubble in these areas.
The Zionist regime’s fighters bombed a house next to Ali Mosque near the vegetable market in the al-Shuja’iya neighborhood in east Gaza. Civil defense extracted the bodies of two martyred women and several injured from under the rubble of the “al-Zamily” house in the al-Shuja’iya area in east Gaza – which was destroyed in the attack by Zionist regime’s fighters.
The bodies of more than 10 martyrs, including women and children from the “Abu Sa’adah” and “al-Fayoumi” families, were extracted from under the rubble of Abdul Fattah Hamoud School in the al-Daraj area in central Gaza City and transferred to Almumtaz Hospital. Also, hundreds of residents in the Atrish neighborhood in Khan Younis were forced to leave their homes due to threats from the Zionist regime.
According to the provisions of Annex B of Resolution 2231, these restrictions continued until eight years after the implementation of the JCPOA (October 18, 2023), when they automatically expired at the specified time in New York. The lifting of these restrictions occurred despite extensive political and legal efforts by the United States and Western countries in recent years to level accusations and build a consensus in the international community to maintain these sanctions, which ultimately ended with the political and legal failure of Western countries to reinstate previous Security Council resolutions.
Furthermore, the mentioned changes were also implemented at 12:00 midnight on October 18, 2023, on the UN website and the consolidated list of UN sanctions. Ms. Rosemary DiCarlo, the Deputy Political Secretary-General of the UN, also separately confirmed to the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran the end of the mentioned regulations and the removal of Iranian persons and entities from the Security Council list.
