Crimes in Abu Ghraib, Spiker, and Megiddo; The Same Perpetrator!

FARAAN: A video circulated on social media shows Palestinian prisoners in the “Megiddo” prison located in the “Marj Ibn Amer” region in Haifa, with their hands tied behind their backs, lying on the ground, and some even lying face down without clothes. Israeli regime security personnel, accompanied by dogs, are seen terrifying them.

News and Analysis:

• The Israeli newspaper Haaretz admitted that this brutal behavior by the occupying forces toward Palestinian prisoners was not due to a specific incident in the “Megiddo” prison, but rather a standard training practice within the set security measures! The newspaper also, citing unnamed prisoners, stated that these actions are routine, and the prisoners are subjected to daily physical and psychological torture by prison officials. The guards take them to places without cameras and beat them.

• Watching this video reminds one of the crimes committed by the U.S. in the Abu Ghraib prison and the slaughterhouses of ISIS, with the most horrific being the “Tikrit” massacre, or the crime at “Spiker”. The images from all three prisons seem to be a simulation, showcasing the sadism of the prison guards aimed at terrifying the other side, covering up their own failures in the face of the people, and breaking the spirit of resistance among those who refuse to surrender to terrorism, assassination, and coercion.

• Despite the exposure of such horrifying actions and the ongoing 12-month genocide in Gaza, the regime has never faced any challenges, as it enjoys the support of Washington and even direct U.S. intervention in the Gaza war. Furthermore, it has been U.S. threats that have prevented judges, prosecutors, and international courts, including the International Criminal Court (ICC), from issuing arrest warrants for criminals like “Benjamin Netanyahu” and “Yoav Gallant”, or condemning the regime for the Gaza genocide.

• The entire world has come to realize that aligning with the U.S. and following its directives to safeguard its illegitimate interests grants any system, regime, or terrorist and racist gang the green light to act with impunity, without fear of punishment or accountability. The Zionist regime has killed many American citizens simply for supporting Gaza, the most recent being “Snor Azgi”, who was shot dead by an Israeli soldier from less than 200 meters away. The Biden administration, without condemning this crime, merely expressed regret and stated it was investigating the incident. In contrast, when the occupying forces killed Zionist prisoners, including one of Israeli-American origin, in Gaza, the Biden administration caused an international uproar, accused the resistance forces of murder, and threatened them with heavy consequences for this so-called “crime”.

• People suffering from wars, sieges, injustice, U.S. interventions, and coups have, by the blood of innocent children and women of Gaza and by the legendary resistance of Gaza and the resistance axis, come to understand the wickedness and treachery of this country.

• For the people of Western countries, especially Americans, the treachery of the U.S. has become more evident, and recently, after the summer holidays, protests have once again begun at U.S. universities, indicating one truth: that the U.S. is the engine and primary cause of all the disasters and problems the Middle East is witnessing.

• Without U.S. support, Israel would not dare continue its crimes in Gaza, ISIS would never have been created, a generation of Arab Zionists would not have risen, and we wouldn’t see the spread of moral deviations, overt servitude, and moral decay among Arab youth.

• These crimes have so far resulted in the martyrdom and injury of over 135,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, the disappearance of more than 10,000 Palestinians, widespread destruction, and famine, which has claimed the lives of hundreds of children. Yet, under U.S. law and the U.S.-dominated global order, these atrocities are not considered crimes.
