Thousands of Yemenis demonstrated in support of the Holy Quran and condemnation of the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden.
Faraan: Thousands of people from Yemen’s Saada province (north) came to the streets today (Monday) to condemn the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden. According to the report of “Al-Masira” network, while expressing their anger at what happened in Sweden on Saturday the Yemeni demonstrators, condemned the silence of some Arab and Islamic governments regarding this crime.
The participants in this demonstration chanted slogans such as “Anger, anger, anger… The Quran has its allies and the oppressor will be disgraced”, “Anyone who burns the verses is a Zionist and an American”, “Burning the Quran is aggression”, “The Quran is God’s book”… God’s enemies burned the Quran”, they chanted, “Muslims, unite and do not be afraid of the tricks of the enemies”.
According to this report, during a speech in this demonstration, Mohammad Jaber Awad, the governor of Saada province, condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran under the security measures of the Swedish police, and at the same time pointed out that this action was a continuation of the serial anti-Islamic measures. The governor of Saada further held the Swedish government responsible for the consequences of this disgraceful criminal act and asked the Muslims and free people of the world to come to the streets to reject this act and their response to disrespecting the Holy Quran should be strong.
Mohammad Jaber Awad also demanded an investigation regarding this action in Sweden and emphasized that the burning of the Holy Quran was a brazen attack and in line with the anti-Islamic actions of the West.
