Sermon 1: Electing Taghoots as Ali even if they are righteous persons, is a crime in Quran
Sermon 2: Mohurrum this year should be dedicated to Gaza by Orators, People and social media
For politics that is Tadbeer, the system is Wilayat. The authority of Wilayat that is political system is Allah since he is the Lord, Hakim and the Manager of affairs. The way for legislation of affairs of Rububiyat has made means similarly for Political management of society as well Allah has delegated certain persons for this.
In Islam Allah is Wali, the Messenger is Wali and from believers Ulul Amr, whom people have to obey. People cannot select Taghoot and Shaitan as Wali. Today Muslims have selected many Awliya on their own which is negated by Quran in Surah Maida Verse no 57. Our discussion is not about Wilayat here, it is about Taqwa since in this verse the field of Taqwa is Wilayat we are discussing this.
As per this verse the mistake which people generally do in taking Wali as certain people.
In Surah Maida, verse 57
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَكُمْ هُزُوًا وَلَعِبًا مِنَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَالْكُفَّارَ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِنِينَ {57}
O you who believe! do not take for guardians those who take your religion for a mockery and a joke, from among those who were given the Book before you and the unbelievers; and be careful of (your duty to) Allah if you are believers
The believers are asked not to take Wali as those who do Huzv, the same as Istehaz which means to do mockery, make fun of something. Huzv, Istehza is that mockery which is done to humiliate, insult someone in the eyes of others. They are from Ahle kitab and unbelievers. In other verses like verse no 51 of Surah Maida
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ أَوْلِيَاءَ ۘ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ مِنْكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ {51}
O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people
You should not take Jew or Christian as Wali and if you do so you will become from amongst them. And Allah does not guide oppressors. The common meaning of Zulm known to us is extremism, torture, beating, usurping wealth of someone whereas these are references of Zulm not meaning. Zulm means to reduce something, like reduction of Noor is Zulm. When Noor reduces or ends this is Zulmat. Lack of guidance, sense, knowledge and everything on which human life is dependent is Zulm. In most verses the meaning of Zulm is downfall of human being and society. The point where Prophets had made humanity reach when they fall down that is Zulm. Allah says I will not guide Zalimeen means those who have reduction in intellect, growth, maturity, sense, guidance. The Zalimeen are those who have made Taghoot as Wali and this is lowliness. You have left the Wilayat of Allah, Messenger, Divine Imams and came under Wilayat of Taghoot. Tyranny is one specific reference of Zulm because there is also lowliness in that.
Thus, there are various verses which orders to not make Jews, Christians as Wali which is a big oppression The same meaning of verse 51 is repeated in verse 57.
As mentioned before when this verse 57 was revealed, at that time it was only Jews and unbelievers who were doing Huzv and La’ab. The Muslims were not doing this at that time, but now there are Muslims who are doing this as well. Like today Muslims mock Hijab and other precepts of religion. The Jews cannot be made Wali not just because they mock, so if they don’t mock then you can make them Wali? They cannot be because they are enemies of Muslims. Here it is specific that anyone who mocks religion should not be made Wali, because that was being done whereby Muslims were doing partnership and giving authority to such persons. Here the reason of prohibition is not being Jew or unbeliever but instead it is mockery of religion and doing La’ab. The La’ab means wasteful activities which has no genuine purpose. The La’ab is the excess saliva or hyper saliva that comes out from mouth which is not done intentionally or for no benefit. La’ab are things which are done out of habits like someone is scratching his body, moving hands on beard, moving ring and doing something not for any purpose. This word got vastness whereby it got used for anything that is purposeless. Like some people are talking without any purpose even if the discussion is serious. Like you are watching TV without any purpose. Like those who take power in religion or position for their own is mockery of religion. Then orators in religious gathering, Majalis do mockery and La’ab by forging stories and presenting as religion to get fees is La’ab. To make religion as the means of earning, trading, commercial should not be taken as Wali.
We leave Taqwa in politics when we give vote to Taghoot, because we are giving authority to them of your country, nation. Quran says you should not give authority to them because you don’t have rights to do this and the rights which has been given to you there as well you appoint Wali from Taghoots and those who do mockery of religion. This is a crime in Quran but we have become insensitive towards this. We consider this as our religious duty to cast vote and appoint Taghoot’s. This is not Taqwa and when a community leaves Taqwa then their leaders would be Taghoot and those who do mockery of religion. They become leaders of those Muslims who do not possess Taqwa. Whom should I appoint the Wali of my nation needs Taqwa? People enjoy Taghoots in elections. These are big crimes as per Quran. To make Wali as Taghoots is bigger crime then drinking alcohol, because that does not destroy the religion in nation.
In Pakistan the religious political parties think that if we appoint righteous people through elections and the same constitution remains all problems will get resolved. If righteous people go to parliament, then this would become Islamic system. This is not true because the foundation of Islamic society and system is Wilayat whereby you have to give authority to one whom Allah has given the rights of rulership. Whether you give authority to righteous , good person or non-righteous it does not become Islamic. If a righteous, praying person takes authority of something for which he is not allowed to take then he will also be considered as Taghoot. It does not mean that all transgression and limits have become permissible for a righteous person. The religious parties say that we will give ticket to righteous person, so if they are righteous persons then they should not take authority because it is not as per Islamic system. Those who made or accepted Taghoots like Banu Umayyah as Wali as also oppressors. This law applies today also that those who do mockery of your religion and do La’ab should not be made as Wali. This is fundamental Taqwa. By leaving Taqwa in this our religion, world, hereafter all have been destroyed.
SECOND SERMON
Today we can see the outcome of not possessing Taqwa whereby people have become barbaric and then there are big numbers who are silent on barbarism. Allah has not created any human being as spectators which means just to watch and see other doing good or bad things. Man has been born as a character and not as spectator. We can see in sports, dramas where few persons are playing character whereas millions are watching as spectators. But in the world Allah as not kept the role of man as spectators who crying on losing or clap on winning.
As Moharram is coming everyone is doing preparations of various types. Orators are preparing for lectures, hosts for programs , media persons on their own. In Majalis some people will recite, take fees and people listening are going to listen fazail to laugh and then listen Masaib to cry. We think our character is delivered. This was not Karbala. The preparations done by government and others have changed the direction of Moharram. The government declares these days of insecurity and government spends a big budget on their security machinery. This is the wrong direction given to Moharram by making it as a month of insecurity. Moharram is the month of humanity and to teach human being’s humanity and this is only in Pakistan and Afghanistan. The rulers of Afghanistan have formally declared that there is only one Fiqh , sect in Afghanistan that is Fiqh e Hanafia and everyone else should wind up. They have taken practical steps as well by closing a big Shia university, Shia TV Channel and have made it hard in Moharram. In Pakistan the government makes two parties; those who do Azadari and those who want to stop. The government brings them on table to discuss. One says we want to do as it is our rights and other says we have our rights to stop. By doing such things the actual purpose would be lost. If you all believe in Prophet Mohammad (s) then it is also obligatory for you to respect Karbala. Respected elderly scholars like Dr Israr have said on media that the failure of Ahle Sunnah is distancing from Imam Hussain (a). You should be ashamed to stop Azadari which is the means of salvation for humanity from Taghoots.
Nasibi has taken over Barelvi sect as well. The Barelvi were those who loved the progeny of Holy Prophet (s). They are also now trying to stop Azadari and talk about the enemies of Ahlulbayt (a). These people are distancing you from the foundations of religion. Moharram is exclusive for Imam Hussain (a). Some scholars who come here also say that in Moharram , Ashoor such and such things were done like Ark of Noah came on shore, etc. Who has been writing this history of Ashoor for you? This is also associated out of prejudice. Moharram before Karbala was a sacred month where fighting was not permitted. After Karbala this month is exclusively to the uprising, martyrdom, purpose of Imam Husain (a) and this is the identity and giving any other identity to Moharram is sectarianism which one group is doing.
On social media everyone wants to become viral and no one can become viral unless they talk something vague, controversial. The biggest duty of Azadars is to bring people towards the purpose of Imam Hussain (a) which everyone including media should do. If the purpose would have been elaborated before then 2024 Moharram (1446) is very important. This is because we have been remembering the Karbala of 61 A.H , but the Moharram this year can see the practical Karbala in Palestine, Gaza. Moharram is the month of uprising. Imam Khomeini (r.a) said that in Moharram blood is victorious over sword. It is the month where martyrdom becomes dominant over tyrant. This is the message from the person who has understood the essence of Imam Hussain (a). Martyr Motahari titled Karbala as Hamasa. It means that valor, courage, struggle, perseverance and movement which uproots oppression completely. This year when we are preparing for Moharram we have to keep the Karbala of today on top of list by every Zakir, Alim, Shia and Sunnis. All Ahle Sunnah should dedicate their Friday Sermons for Imam Hussain and Gaza. The Zakirs if they do not mention the purpose of Imam Hussain (a) and Gaza then you have only done trading by showing some performance. If you want to get divine rewards then revive the purpose of Imam Hussain and if this gets revived then today you will know your role in today’s Karbala. It is Moharram that can solve the problem today. Today all enemies America, Europe, Britain is all trying their best to convince Hezbollah to not start war. Rahbar wanted this battle to come near Moharram. Yesterday Hezbollah has launched 200 missiles and drones on Israel and they had all hit targets. They have realized that even if Iran does not step into battle directly. Then Hezbollah, Ansarullah and Hashad us Shabi are armies of Karbala and if they get into war on Ashoor and Moharram, then no one can save Israel and these Yazidis from these followers of Imam Hussain. Hence, they want to delay war. This is the outcome of Moharram and Azadari. When the signal from Rahbar comes to destroy Israel there is a need from Pakistan then these Azadars will reach Lebanon. The believers should prepare if there is a call for help from Lebanon then it should not happen that under fear of Ubaidullah you remain inside your homes in Pakistan. We need that caravan of 72 , but instead 72 crores would reach Lebanon. It is certain and can be seen clearly all the youths of Pakistan irrespective of Shia, Sunni will reach there and the black stains on Pakistan created by our rulers would be washed. The Basra people were in community differences, Kufis were under fear, Hejazi busy in worship and Imam Hussain (a) got martyred and God willing this won’t happen now. Demand from Zakirs, orators to prepare people for Gaza. We should not get ashamed when this time as till now our role has been shameful and we are not in any position to show our face to Allah. If Allah wants to destroy these oppressors, then we pray to him to include us in that army.
