The head of Palestine’s Islamic Jihad resistance movement has paid tribute to Iran’s Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani on his second martyrdom anniversary, saying the revered commander was assassinated for having stood against US-Israeli conspiracies.
Faraan: “They shed Martyr Soleimani’s blood because he was the chief barrier in the face of the United States and the Zionist regime’s policies,” Ziad al-Nakhalah told a ceremony held in the Lebanese capital Beirut to honor Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani’s memory.
“Haj Qassem was at the forefront of those defending Palestine,” Nakhalah said, adding that the Martyr successfully obstructed the Israeli regime’s attempts to restructure West Asia.
‘Tel Aviv struck by missiles procured under Gen. Soleimani’s supervision’
The missiles that have been used by the Palestinian resistance to strike Tel Aviv during the resistance’s defense of Palestinian territories against Israeli aggression “were first placed in our hands under Qassem Soleimani’s supervision,” the Palestinian official said.
Soleimani insisted that we will not be able to conquer without fighting,” Nakhalah said, addressing Palestine’s enemies by saying, “We will besiege you even if you are in possession of all of the world’s weapons.”
General Soleimani was martyred in a United States drone strike on January 3, 2020, when he was on an official visit to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
The drone strike had been ordered by former US President Donald Trump. The atrocity came at the height of the hero’s popularity for helping out Iraq and Syria defeat the Takfiri terrorist group of Daesh.
Washington had been using Daesh’s presence to perpetuate its military interference in the Arab countries.
