Hamas calls for prosecuting Israeli leaders as war criminals

Hamas Movement stressed the importance of human solidarity with all the peoples subjected to occupation, injustice, aggression, and all forms of racial discrimination, especially the Palestinian people who have been subjected to the longest and most dangerous continuous occupation in the world.

Faraan: In a press statement on Monday to mark the International Human Solidarity Day, which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly years ago to be observed on December 20 each year, Hamas called for strengthening solidarity with the Palestinian people and ending their ongoing tragedy and stopping the Israeli occupation’s aggression, criminality, siege, and racial discrimination inflicted on the Palestinian people.

The group also stressed the importance of working to criminalize the Israeli leaders and prosecute them as war criminals for their heinous crimes committed against the Palestinian land and people.

The Movement also called for expressing solidarity with the Palestinian detainees in the occupation prisons, who are subjected to violations of their human rights and to crimes against humanity.

On the other hand, Hamas called for the immediate ending of the 15-year long unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, and speedy reconstruction of what has been destroyed by the recent Israeli aggression.

The statement concluded by calling for strengthening solidarity and support for Palestinian refugees who suffer difficult humanitarian conditions as a result of the occupation’s practices and the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.
