FARAAN: In broad daylight, an American drone shot three missiles at the car of the Baghdad Belt Operations deputy, killing Haj Abu Taqawi al-Saeidi and several of his companions in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, and wounding several others. According to this report, after this crime, “Patrick Ryder”, the spokesman of the US Department of Defense, with arrogance and bullying attitude, claiming to defend himself, announced that the US forces carried out an air strike in the center of Baghdad, which resulted in the “killing of Abu Taqawi and one person.”
This issue provoked angry reactions in Iraq at the level of the government, the parliament, the resistance factions and the people of this country because this crime did not target only one security force that worked under the leadership of the prime minister and the commander in chief of the army, but it was a clear sign that the American occupiers do not value Iraqi sovereignty or any Iraqi authority. This crime showed that the US intends to keep Iraq as a weak and dominated country with incomplete governance, otherwise, how can a foreign force that claims its mission is limited to advice and training, kill a commander in the security forces under the administration of the Iraqi Armed Forces.
Even if we assume that this commander, as America claims, was dangerous for American forces, has he presented the documents he has to prove his claim to the Iraqi side? Shouldn’t we wait for Iraq’s action in this regard? Who gave America the right to commit this crime against a military commander in a country that hosts its troops solely for training and advice? What is the sin of the companions of this commander who were martyred with him?
All of these are questions that cannot be answered except by activating the resolution of the Iraqi Parliament after the heinous and cowardly crime of the United States in the martyrdom of the commanders of the victory, martyr Sardar Qassem Soleimani and martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, who demanded the expulsion of American troops from Iraq. All national forces in Iraq should support the decision of the Prime Minister of this country, Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, who spoke about the formation of a bilateral committee to determine the arrangements for the end of the US-led international coalition’s mission in Iraq, one day after the assassination of Martyr Abu Taqawi.
The important point that the arrogant America does not understand is that the Hashd al-Shaabi is the only force that has gained legal, religious and popular legitimacy, therefore it is only considered an institution that the Americans are not present in its operations rooms and this is something that America, which has a deep hatred towards the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, cannot tolerate because the Popular Mobilization Forces, along with the security forces and the Iraqi army, play the most prominent role in burying the greatest American sedition known as “ISIS”.
