Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip stressed that with the exception of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which has always stood by the Palestinian people with providing financial and logistical assistance, all Arab countries in the region, especially in 2021, have pursued their national interests in supporting the Palestinian people.
Faraan: A few days after the end of 2021, Qods News Agency conducted a poll in the besieged Gaza Strip to assess the views of Palestinians on last year’s developments and their views on the most important and influential events in Occupied Palestine.
Clashes with Zionist troops in occupied Jerusalem (al-Quds), the Zionist regime’s plan to expel Palestinian families from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, the 11-day war between the resistance groups and the Israeli army, and finally the ongoing desecration of the holy al-Aqsa Mosque were among the most important events of last year in occupied Palestine.
Also, among the most important events that attracted the attention of the Palestinians in 2021 were the assassination of Palestinian activist Nizar Banat by the Palestinian Authority security forces in the city of Hebron, the meeting of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas with Israel’s Minister of War Bani Gantz And the escape of 6 Palestinian prisoners from the “high-security Gilboa Prison ” and their re-captivation.
In this survey, the interviewees were also asked which country (Iran, USA, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, etc.) was effective during the last year (2021) in continuous supporting for the Palestinians.
“Iran has been continuously supporting the Palestinians materially and spiritually since the occupation of Palestine, by providing the weapons needed by the resistance groups and the PLO, creating supporting channels in some Arab countries, such as Syria and Lebanon, providing military training military and logistical equipment, and empowering the relations of the Palestinian groups (such as Islamic Jihad and Hamas) with Syrian and Lebanese resistance groups,” a Palestinian civilian said on the condition of anonymity.
“The approach of resistance groups abroad to the borders of occupied Palestine, which is aimed at liberating the lands of this holy land, has caused the Zionists to become more and more concerned about aid and the expansion of Iran’s sphere of power in the region,” he added.
“By developing its nuclear program, Iran is trying to liberate the occupied territories from the clutches of the Zionists, and that is why this regime is standing against Iran’s nuclear program,” the Palestinian individual said, referring to the opposition of the Zionist regime against Iran’s nuclear program.
Alaa Quduha, 42, another Palestinian resident of the Gaza Strip, said in response to a question about the most influential country in supporting the Palestinians in 2021: “All the countries you mentioned except Iran think only of their own interests. It is Iran that has consistently supported the Palestinians with arms, financial, logistical, and military support without any behind-the-scenes profit motives.”
“Iran has sincerely supported all Palestinian resistance groups, not just Hamas and Islamic Jihad, while in no way intending to export its ideology as some Western and pro-imperialist media claim,” Quduha added
“Many Islamic and Arab countries only support the Palestinians in the media and for their own interests,” said another 44-year-old Palestinian who works for UNRWA talked on the condition of anonymity.
“Everyone agrees on the principle of liberating occupied Palestine, but when this issue comes to practicality, the dialogue on resolving the Middle East crisis is politically motivated and self-interested, and as a result vetoed in the Security Council by Western powers under the pretext of supporting the two-state solution.”
The comments of Palestinian citizen, who believes that no practical assistance has been provided to Palestine by the international community, especially Islamic countries, show the fact that the Palestinian media and especially resistance-oriented media do not publish appropriate news and reports on the type and amount of Iranian support in various dimensions in order to empower the Palestinian people and they have left the public opinion alone, exposed to the onslaught of the countless Arab media that are constantly active against Iran and the axis of resistance.
Representatives of Palestinian groups based in Iran should try to make up for this shortcoming. There is not a day in Iran that no action or position is taken in support of Palestine or in opposition to the Zionist regime, and the resistance-oriented media should cover these daily activities and inform the public about the realities of Iran.
