Martyrdom of a Syrian soldier following Turkish attacks

Turkish forces once again targeted areas in northern Syria with artillery and mortars. Al-Alam reporter in Syria reported that a Syrian soldier was martyred and several civilians were injured in the Turkish attack on villages located in the border areas of Syria.

Faraan: Meanwhile, the Syrian Al-Akhbariya network reported that the artillery unit of the Turkish army today also shelled the communication road between Tal Rifat and Deir Jamal in the north of Aleppo.

The artillery attacks of the Turkish army and the terrorist groups supported by Ankara have intensified while Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced in early June that his country will soon start an operation to create a safe zone 30 kilometers deep in Syrian territory. In contrast to Syria, he emphasized that “Turkey’s threats to the so-called safe zone operation in northern Syria are in conflict with the results and outputs of the Astana meeting.”

High-ranking officials of Russia and the United States have previously expressed their opposition to Turkey’s military operations in northern Syria several times in their official statements and asked Ankara to find a peaceful solution to the situation in Syria.

In recent days, Turkish officials have repeatedly spoken about the possibility of starting a new round of attacks on northern Syria and announced their readiness in this regard, and these statements raise concerns about the re-ignition of conflicts in northern Syria between the different parties present in it and the emergence of It has caused problems for the people of these areas.

On the other hand, Turkey is carrying out its attacks on northern Syria while the UN Security Council is supposed to hold an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday about Turkey’s attacks on northern Iraq. Baghdad complained to the UN Security Council about the recent Turkish airstrikes in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, which left 8 dead and more than 20 wounded.
