FARAAN: Simultaneously with the publication of reports in the Western media about the possible and imminent issuance of an arrest warrant for a number of officials of the Zionist regime by the International Criminal Court, Hebrew-speaking sources report on Tel Aviv’s intensive efforts to prevent such a decision from being taken in the Hague Court. According to this report, the American newspaper “New York Times” wrote in a report: “It is believed that the International Criminal Court is preparing to issue an arrest warrant for the Israeli authorities.”
According to the New York Times, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is among the people whose name may be on the list of the Hague Tribunal. The British “Times” newspaper also wrote in a report: “The International Criminal Court is preparing to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and other senior Israeli officials, including War Minister Yoav Galant, Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and some security officials on charges of War crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.” Pointing out that the arrest warrant is likely to be issued this week, these sources noted that the main focus of the International Criminal Court’s prosecution is on the charge of “deliberately starving the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.”
At the same time, Hebrew-speaking sources reported the intensive efforts of the Tel Aviv regime to prevent such a decision in the Hague court and declared that such an action would have worrisome consequences within this regime. This is because the issuance of such a sentence is the tacit acknowledgment of the international community to “Israel’s war crimes in the Gaza Strip”. The “Times of Israel” website reported that Israel’s Internal Security Council, along with the Foreign Ministry of this regime, is in charge of leading efforts in this field.
Hebrew-language sources, quoting sources close to the prime minister of this regime, wrote that Netanyahu is unusually worried and tense these days due to the possible issuance of the verdict of the Hague Court. “Ma’ariv” newspaper also revealed that Netanyahu is in extensive contact with American officials, including President Joe Biden, and asked them to put pressure on the Hague Court to prevent the issuance of such a sentence.
A few days ago, Channel 12 of the Zionist regime announced that Netanyahu requested the mediation of the British and German foreign ministers to prevent the Hague Court from issuing an arrest warrant against him and some officials of this regime. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has responded that the Hague Court’s decision to issue a warrant to arrest senior Israeli officials is “completely hypocritical”, however, if this decision is finalized, “we will not leave our country (Occupied Palestine)”.
Meanwhile, the “Jerusalem Post” newspaper, citing a diplomatic source in Tel Aviv, wrote: “The International Criminal Court cannot take action against Netanyahu and senior Israeli military personnel without public support from the United States.” If such action takes place, the question must be asked, “Where is President Biden? And why is he sitting quietly while Israel could be run over by a bus?”
The Jerusalem Post further referred to a post written by Netanyahu on the “X” social network, in which he claimed: “Under my leadership, Israel will never face any attempt by the Hague Criminal Court to undermine its fundamental right to self-defense. It does not accept, threats against Israeli army soldiers and personalities in Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East and the only Jewish state in the world and we will not give in to it.
