Sermon 1: Mujahid is one who spends all abilities in the way of Allah
Sermon 2: End of Israel is near but where we stand
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَاهِدُوا فِي سَبِيلِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ {35}
O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah and seek means of nearness to Him and strive hard in His way that you may be successful.
Taqwa is not optional and some people have this misunderstanding. Quran has rectified many such misunderstandings and conjectures for human being. Majority are living a contented life without Taqwa because to a certain extent the desires, lusts of human beings are fulfilled. We do not realize that no aspects of life are secure. Taqwa is that protection which saves man from destructive threats and dangers both in this world and hereafter. For this protection scheme Allah has discussed a stage of Taqwa in Surah Maida verse 35.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ وَجَاهِدُوا فِي سَبِيلِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ {35}
O you who believe! be careful of (your duty to) Allah and seek means of nearness to Him and strive hard in His way that you may be successful
The verse is an order of Taqwa and we have discussed about Waseela till now because of misunderstanding in the subject of Waseela and the misunderstanding is also such that it has changed the axis and orientation of religion from Allah towards means. You might find some individual on the axis of Allah but you won’t find a society, as they are all moving around means. In Urdu, Persian Waseela is means but in Arabic Waseela means proximity acquired with Raghbat (ardent desire). For us in Urdu, Persian Waseela are those people who help us fulfill our desires, get forgiveness , etc. from Allah. For us the system of Allah runs with middle man because we think that we don’t have direct approach to Allah. Whereas every creation is connected with Allah without any means. Imam Ali (a) in his will to his son Imam Hassan (a) says do not make anyone means between yourself and Allah else that will become an obstacle for you. Like there should not be any means between children and parents unless their relationship is disturbed. If any means comes in between, they will distance children from parents. Those whom we have made means for Allah they are means of guidance. Education and fostering of man happens this way only whereby Allah has established Prophets, Saints of Allah so that they can guide us towards Allah. Guidance means those signs which is visible and clearly identifies a path and destination. The Prophets are those who have the ability to absorb the knowledge of Allah and from their heart the guidance reaches believers. It does not mean they are standing in between with humanity standing behind them with Allah on other side who cannot be reached directly. Today the generation of humanity are trapped in these means. Every person has the goal to reach some sage and after that sage will do the rest.
Ali (a) says as far as possible do not make anyone as obstacle between yourself and Allah. If we are strangers to Allah then that would distance us and we will look for means. Allah is related and connected to every creation in the world as creator, lordship, provider etc. The role of Prophets is to show people the way, practices, etiquettes, deeds by which they can get near to Allah and not that they are telling people to get connected to them and they will deal with Allah. The role of Prophets, Imams, Saints of Allah is to make each and every person seek nearness to Allah. In every worship the intention we make is to seek proximity with Allah.
In this verse we are asked to seek, follow up , desire proximity with Raghbat. Do Ibtegha that is Baghya means leave everything else and just go after something. Wabtaghu Ilaihe Waseela means leaver everything and seek Raghbat of getting nearness to Allah. And Raghbat comes when man leaves everything and does that work only. But we don’t leave everything and do something then it is not due to Raghbat but out or persuasion.
The means which Allah sent towards human beings for guiding them like Prophet Isa, but people placed them in place of Allah. In this verse when continues says Wa Jahidu Fee sabeele means do Jihad in the way of Allah.
Jihad , Jahad means to spend all strength, resources given by Allah. This is the order of Allah and Jihad has got transformed into war and battles present in everyone’s mind. Battle is the reference of Jihad and not meaning. The word Qital is used for battle where there is fighting, killing and defense. Jihad means to use abilities and two abilities are mostly presented by Quran, one is Jihad bil nafs (Self) and second is Jihad of wealth. Jihad means to spend all the abilities which man has been granted by Allah. When there is war or any other field. All the fields of life where Allah has ordained laws are Sabeelillah. You might have spend all the abilities for certain work at times. This is not Jahad because Jahad is done with intention and passion. If you get tired soon by just reading one page or listening to one lecture then this Bukhl and Baks which means leaving something behind and not delivering everything. Mujahid is the one who spends all the abilities in the way of Allah. They are not Mujahid who keep something for family, children and just give 20% Khums in the way of Allah. Mujahid is not the one who gives 20%, he should spend all abilities. One who delivers one lecture a day is not Mujahid. A Mujahid is Ibrahim Raeesi. His youth age, honor rest everything given in the way of Allah. The President of nation dying on the border of country means he has delivered everything. This is a proof that they are different type of people and from different tribe. They are those men who deliver their covenant as Quran says. See how much abilities Allah has given you and how much you have saved. Do not divide what Allah has given you , that this is for my children and this is for Allah. Say that your life, death and everything is for Allah. What Allah has give you , with whom can you divide and distribute? Whom can I place with Allah. The life is given for Allah but that life was also given by Allah. If you return everything what Allah has given to me back to Allah then your name will come under Mujahideen. Those who have taken from Allah but not returned are Qaedoon. Life, wealth, respect, children were all from Allah so give it back.
Martyr Ibrahim Raeesi is amongst those Mujahideen against whom entire media, other nations and even scholars were targeting their arrows on the chest of this crusader. They are from the tribe of Amirul Momineen (a). When Ali (a) was struck he said I am successful by the lord of Kaaba. President Raeesi has gone in comfort now. On the day of his martyrdom see the abusing which was done by certain people. These are crusaders whom Allah gives them and they return and Allah accepts from them as well because Allah takes it back from Muttaqeen. We look at these personalities of President and Foreign Minister on their positions but these were just posts their actual identity was not this. Acquire Taqwa , seek nearness with Raghbat and spend all your abilities in the way of Allah. The abilities could be anything like good voice, speech, intellect and anything. Spend this in the way of Allah so that you achieve prosperity.
SERMON 2
Those who have adapted the plan of Taqwa their world and hereafter have become secured. Today’s human generation has become habituated to live a life without Taqwa and specifically Muslims who should have been leaders, models and executors of Taqwa. They took bounties, facilities, privileges of religion but did not fulfill the demands of religion. Imam Hussain (a) in the sermon of Mina the scholars are addressed and said that your dignity, respect is from Islam and today all the limits of Islam are being transgressed. The Takfirist say that if we do not defend Yazid then we won’t be able to defend anyone else because it was due to support of the elites, elderly, scholars who became the basis of getting Yazid into power. The scholars whom Imam Hussain (a) addressed earned everything from Islam and that religion which has given you everything has lost everything and you don’t even feel ashamed and live a normal religion.
Today it’s the same whereby Muslims are being brutally killed but nothing is being realized by the Muslim Ummah. The West is proposing a two-state solution for Palestine. This is not the path of Muslims. Today three non-Muslim states, Spain, Norway, Ireland said that we are ready to accept Palestine as a separate state. The path of these martyrs like Raeesi, Soleymani and the martyrs of Palestine have only one path that Israel should be annihilated and only Palestine state has to remain. To accept Palestine as a state means to make Israel getting accepted. Israel has lost the battle against Hamas. To kill children, ruin cities is not war. The warrant for arresting Netanyahu is being released by international tribunal but America is pressuring to stop it. Israel could not achieve any war objectives and they know for even 100 years they cannot do this hence looking for alternatives. One alternative is to ask Bin Salman to do cleansing of Hamas and second is to accept one small portion of land as Palestine and let Israel get accepted by all other nations. They are trying to achieve the failed battle objectives through other tactics.
Since the world is of despaired people, we get news as to what will happen after Raeesi. The same despair was spread after General Soleymani who was just a soldier of Allah and Allah says we replace our signs with much better. These were the people who got the resistance of Palestine till here. Those who have trust, reliance on Allah they do not get despaired. Such martyrdom warms up the hearts of believers. Those who are afraid of martyrdom do not step on this path and only those who know the consequence they come on this path. All the efforts which are being put up to save Israel will perish and Allah’s promise will get fulfilled that small group will dominate major powers. Hamas is a small group and this power will get destroyed by them.
This is common sense when someone adopts the filthiest path means they are destroyed. Any group who wants to take refuge in the laps of Yazid will themselves get destroyed. If Arabs are trying to establish their power, regimes under the laps of Israel and if Pakistan is seeking loans from IMF to take refuge, then this filth which has to end. You are fine till you have made the Islamic nation sleep and divided them in sects. You should know that the call of awakening was given 45 years by Imam Khomeini (r.a) and Hamas is the child of revolution. All this filth is going to be devastated. These martyrdom’s is a proof that their end is near. The community that learns to die no one can destroy them. You see the funeral procession in various cities where millions attend. This attendance in funeral was not a formality but a message given that if one is martyred then one million are ready for martyrdom. Those who are under the camp of Wilayat do not face disgrace. The filth has to end but we have to take decision where we stand. It should not be that we also end with filth. There is disgraceful silence on Palestine in Pakistan and this should not happen. Israel and world are under severe pressure else they would not have accepted Palestine. Hamas has kept hand on their jugular vein which would be cut and we should not feel ashamed at that time. One who is taking name of Hussain and standing in the ranks of Yazid is not Hussaini but filthiest one.
