FARAAN: The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Lebanon, emphasized that the halt of the battle on the northern front is dependent on a ceasefire in Gaza, stating: “We will defend Lebanon and will not tolerate occupation, and we are preparing for the worst possibilities in our resistance.”
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon, delivered a speech on Wednesday at a memorial ceremony for the martyred commander “Mohammad Na’imah Nasser,” known as “Abu Na’imah,” at the Imam Mujtaba (AS) Complex in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
At the beginning of his speech, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah extended his congratulations and condolences to the families of the martyrs who have achieved the lofty rank of martyrdom in recent weeks, emphasizing: “The martyrs of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm are among the most prominent and sublime examples of martyrdom in the path of God, as they fight in a battle of clear truth with no room for doubt or ambiguity. Our martyrs are all martyrs in the path of God, honored with dignity and pride.”
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah then highlighted the personality traits of the martyred Haj Abu Na’imah, a prominent Lebanese resistance commander who was martyred last week in the attacks by the occupying regime’s army on southern Lebanon. He said: “Martyr Abu Na’imah chose the path of resistance in his youth. Abu Na’imah was a fighter, a prisoner, a combatant, and a commander who was wounded twice and ultimately met a good end.”
Abu Na’imah Went to Iraq with Haj Qassem
He added: “Hezbollah leaders and commanders speak with confidence and high spirits. Martyr Abu Na’imah was a leader, commander, and fighter on many fronts. He was on the front lines during the July 1993 war and went to Syria to fight against ISIS. The Secretary-General of Hezbollah also said: ‘Martyr Abu Na’imah was among those who went with Haj Qassem Soleimani to Iraq to fight against ISIS. He chose the path of resistance and jihad in his youth and was also imprisoned in the Israeli occupation’s jails for a period. He was always present on the battlefield until the moment of his martyrdom.'”
Objectives of the Battle are Being Realized
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah spoke about Hezbollah’s involvement in Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, emphasizing: “Our commitment to the battle of Al-Aqsa Storm from the beginning has been both formal and substantive, and we see ourselves as part of it. Our commitment to this battle from day one was decisive and final, and our battle on the Lebanese front does not have a specific name. He stressed: ‘The objectives of our battle are being realized day by day, and the enemy accepts this matter through the exhaustion and weakening of its army on all levels.'”
The Halt of the Northern Front Battle is Dependent on Stopping the Gaza War
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah continued: “Our operation engages the enemy on the northern front, effectively forcing 1,000 Israeli officers and soldiers to stay there. The goal of Lebanon’s support front for Gaza is to exhaust the enemy and deprive it of the opportunity to resolve the battle in the Gaza Strip in its favor, and today we see that the enemy’s army is unable to evacuate the north due to fear of resistance groups’ infiltration, especially after losing intelligence equipment. He added: ‘Through our battle, we can divert the enemy from its aggression against Gaza and make it understand that if it wants to stop it, it must cease its aggression against Gaza. External parties have also realized that the halt of the northern front battle is linked to stopping the aggression against Gaza.'”
The Enemy is Experiencing the Worst Days in Its History
Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah further stated: “The occupying regime’s army is suffering from a shortage of forces, which is why they are forced to conscript Haredim into military service. The enemy’s army is also compelled to extend compulsory service, which has significant economic and social impacts on Israel. He said: ‘The objectives of destroying and wearing down the enemy in terms of economy, military forces, and social reality have been achieved, and this forces it to stop the war. The enemy is currently experiencing the worst days in its history. Some studies on October 7 have revealed its weaknesses.'”
