Sermon 1: Khabs (impure) societies do not give results of guidance
Sermon 2: Not raising even voice for Gaza is a crime after 321 days
Hayat-e-Tayyaba is the life one should strive for, and to achieve this pure life, Allah has identified impurities so that one can stay protected. Allah first made it clear that Tayyab (pure) and Khabas (impure) are different and then commanded to purify all aspects of life based on Tayyabat (purity).
Terms like Tayyabat and Khabasat have been misinterpreted using local cultural meanings. Khabs refers to filth that penetrates and becomes part of something, unlike surface dirt. It’s not restricted to material objects but also includes spiritual aspects like hearts and intentions. Khabs makes something ineffective, similar to impurities contaminating water.
The third attribute of Khabas is that after entering inside, making it ineffective also becomes intolerable for man. Like bad odour is the impurity in air which enters inside air, makes the oxygen ineffective to the extent that it becomes intolerable for man.
Similarly for society as well social filth enters inside society and becomes part of human culture and common norms, trends. This filth of culture, orientations, thinking makes the society ineffective and intolerable.
Quran in verse 100 of Surah Maida
قُلْ لَا يَسْتَوِي الْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ وَلَوْ أَعْجَبَكَ كَثْرَةُ الْخَبِيثِ ۚ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ {100}
Say: The bad and the good are not equal, though the abundance of the bad may please you; so be careful of (your duty to) Allah, O men of understanding, that you may be successful
The Prophet (s) has been asked to tell people that Tayyab and Khabees are not same, but we do not believe and accept these Quranic standards practically. In our society like in relatives we can see both Tayyab and Khabees are present, but for family they are both same. Considering both as same means you are denying the Quran.
The verse also says that Khabees is in abundance which means Tayyab is less. This will astonish you as well but in this situation you have to acquire Taqwa so that they Tayyab and Khabees do not mix up, Khabees does not become norms and starts to dominate. You have to do this so that you can achieve prosperity (Falah).
Quran has also expressed what is Khabees. In Surah Araf, verse 58
وَالْبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخْرُجُ نَبَاتُهُ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِي خَبُثَ لَا يَخْرُجُ إِلَّا نَكِدًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَشْكُرُونَ {58}
And as for the good land, its vegetation springs forth (abundantly) by the permission of its Lord, and (as for) that which is inferior (its herbage) comes forth but scantily; thus do We repeat the communications for a people who give thanks
Quran is explaining Khabees with an example. In this example Khabees is that land which does not produce vegetation and even if it does but very slowly and less. If you go to verse 57 then then it says.

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَقَلَّتْ سَحَابًا ثِقَالًا سُقْنَاهُ لِبَلَدٍ مَيِّتٍ فَأَنْزَلْنَا بِهِ الْمَاءَ فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُخْرِجُ الْمَوْتَىٰ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ {57}
And He it is Who sends forth the winds bearing good news before His mercy, until, when they bring up a laden cloud, We drive it to a dead land, then We send down water on it, then bring forth with it of fruits of all kinds; thus shall We bring forth the dead that you may be mindful
This verse presents a very important policy. When mercy comes from Allah it is like clouds laden with water dragged towards barren land where it rains water and then various fruits come out of it. This is how Allah revives dead things, so that you can be attentive. Mercy (Rahmat) are those means which removes the difficulties of man and fulfills the essential needs of man. Allah makes these means reach man through a divine system. Everything runs as per divine system but unfortunately we do not come near system and even our Mujtahid’s do not come near system. We get things done through commission agents where Allah has made systems which has means and these means also become active through a system. In this case you need crops, fruits so for this you need farms and farms need water; this water will come through clouds. The clouds are formed above seas but they have to rain water on farms. For this Allah has made air, breeze which are also made above sea and this air moves the clouds over dry lands , farms for raining.
The rains will fall on both types of land , fertile and infertile that is Tayyab land and Khabees land. The Tayyab land are those in whose soil there is no salinity and Khabees are saline , salty land. The rain will fall on both but effect will be that khabees land will not produce any vegetation. This salinity in soil has made it ineffective so even now with seeds inside it wont produce any vegetation. A land might be fertile but is still barren because it has not got water. This means the land is pure by its Fitrat. But for infertile land even if it rains nothing will come out irrespective of how much watering you do. Nothing will grow unless that Khabs does not comes out of it. The law of Allah is that I will send rain but the land should not be adulterated.
The scholars have interpreted that this fertile and dry lands are example of two hearts of believer and transgressors. The guidance falls on every soul but this rain of guidance does not produce any vegetation because there is Khabs present inside it. We can see so many students come to study in Islamic seminaries or this sermon is like rain of guidance which is falling on everyone and many due to media. But after listening to this discussion of Taqwa what got produced? Can we see any leaf of Taqwa coming out, if not then it means there is filth inside mind and heart. It was dead and not pure, which means it had no sincerity but instead impure and adulterated hence this guidance became dead. Balad-ul-Khabas are those hearts which has filth inside. And even if it produces something verse says it produce “Naqid” something very scantly or little.
The Khabs of self is that guidance comes in abundance but effectiveness is not there. Even though this parable of Quran can be interpreted for self but it is for society. The word “Balad” is for human societies, cities. The verse is talking about Khabees Balad which means society becomes khabees. These societies get rain of guidance, reformation but hardly any results come out. If we would have extracted sociology from Quran then these verses are clear which does not need any commentary or exegesis. We have to remove the Khabs from this society.
If you form a society over Khabees land then buildings will collapse. We have to remember Khabees means useless, ineffective persons. Those who were taught they did not learn or did not give any benefits. These are the people who drown the country and not the illiterates. The more destruction is due to useless, ineffective persons. The education has not produced any vegetation in their self. Let us do accountability of our own institute. See the efforts, money we are spending on this institute. Allah has given Taufeeq to some who have delivered their duties but what is the outcome we need to assess and apply Quran over here. Are we spending on Tayyab or useless beings. If on useless then it is all getting wasted. We have to remove this Khabs first. We have to transform Balad a Khabees to Balad e Tayyab then sow seeds and it will definitely grow. If you put efforts on Khabas then everything will get wasted. The one that gives results is Tayyab. On impure lands, societies nothing grows and even if it does it would be a splinter. So now you can estimate how much efforts we have to put on our society and from where we have to start on this useless land? How do we purify this land so that it can produce vegetation. And Quran says it continuous gives results.
Taqwa is meant for removing Khabs from this self to the extent that it becomes effective and produces continous fruits. This is the Quranic principle in accordance to which you have to move forward. A Punjabi poet Shorish Kashmiri has written about the land of Punjab that the land of Punjab has become barren for producing personalities. This means this land has become barren and Quran is presenting this point of guidance as to why the seeds of guidance do not give results due to Khabs present inside us.
SERMON 2
Life without Taqwa is inhuman which can be witnessed in the current generation. Today we can see amongst eight billion people residing on earth how many are human beings. Maulana Rumi says that during daytime a Sheikh was searching for human with a lantern. I told the Sheikh that we could not find a human and Sheikh said that’s what I am trying to find. So we cannot find human beings instead there are insects and wild beasts present. Today Palestine has proven this and there are hardly human beings. They are only humans who are raising their voices or doing something practically to stop this oppression. Those who are supporting the oppressed and those who are sitting silent are insects and wild beast. In this era the humanity has been forsaken and abandoned. Only few groups are raising voices but no one else is raising their voice. They are announcing that you should not expect supporting humans from us because we are animals. Quran says why after 321 days of oppression, where more than 100,000 are martyred continuously and even from last night till now several palestinians are being killed. See what role who has played in these 321 days. Zionists did non-stop oppression and Muslims did do not one day of resistance. America has just sponsored 20 billion dollars of weapons to Israel. See what the Pakistani people, scholars and rulers are doing. The scholars are going to celebrate the decision on Qadyani’s decision from court. You are celebrating your success on this but see your failure on Palestine.
The Pakistani community are emotional and such people generally support because they don’t think only see and stand up. But even this passionate community has become so cold. You can see after 100,000 martyrdom why everyone is ineffective including Muslim governments, forces, political, religious parties, scholars of crusading sects. This is because they are adulterated with Khabs. The Prophet (s) has mentioned that a day will come when people will pounce on my Ummah likes flies on food. When asked we would be less, why this would happen. The Prophet (s) said two reasons; one is fear of death and love of world. This makes community ineffective.
The people of Gaza and their supporters Hezbollah, Ansarullah, Hamas, Hashad are successful. The Yemenis’s are most successful but what about others? The scholars have not even issued a Fatwa for defending Palestinians. The policies made by governments are for supporting Zionists, this is Khabs. These are all Balad-ul-Khabs which are not giving any results. We should be painful for this only. Bin Salman destroyed Yaman with 12 countries and turned into ruins but despite of this they are standing for Palestine. At present Balad e Tayyab is Yemen, rest all will need to remove the impurities. This is grievous. Hamas after 321 has ability to do suicide attack in Tel Aviv but where do we stand after 321 days. We will be accounted for each and every day. Anyone who is supporting Israel in whichever way are Khabees. Those who are with Gaza are Tayyab. Those who cannot speak about Gaza they cannot protect their nation as well. The same time can come on Paksitan as well and we should remove this Khabs from our selves before that. We boast so much and we can se 8 million zionists and 2 billion Muslims. Bin Salman is telling America that I will be killed for supporting Israel so protect me. This is where we are standing after 321 days. We can see what the Mufti’s are doing and this is crime which Allah will not forgive. We should raise our voice for Palestinians and this voice also has power. Palestinians have told Paksitan to just threaten Israel as you are a nuclear nation. But our rulers voice do not come out. I am astonished on scholars who eat, earn respect from religion but do not raise their voice for religion and still keep hope of Jannah.
