Sana’a: All ports are within our reach; The era of Yemen’s oil exploitation is over

The Prime Minister of the National Salvation Government of Yemen once again warned that foreign companies will face a military response if they approach Yemen’s coasts to extract oil.

Faraan: “Abd al-Aziz bin Habtour”, the Prime Minister of Yemen’s National Salvation Government (based in Sana’a), in an interview with an Arab network conducted on Thursday, once again said that the response to Yemen’s oil theft will be military action. He pointed out that Yemeni oil and gas have been smuggled by the two aggressor countries and the mercenary government that benefits from its revenue for eight years. These amounts are not millions of dollars but billions of dollars.

Ibn Habtour added: “We first issued a security warning, but if they do not understand our message, we will turn these security messages into explicit military action, and any company that approaches the ports of the Republic of Yemen, whether in Aden or Hodeida or Al-Dhaba and Al-Nashimah shall be attacked. ” He emphasized: “We announced from the very beginning that we are ready to extend the peaceful ceasefire, provided that the issue of the rights of the employees of the government, military and security sectors is resolved. We clearly stated that we will not allow any party to take away Yemen’s oil and gas without an understanding with Sana’a.”

Ibn Habtour said that Sana’a is responsible for all the Yemeni ports and the Yemeni forces have all of them in their cross hairs and any company that wants to cross the red lines and illegally load and transfer Yemeni oil and gas will be punished by the Yemeni armed forces. He added: “We don’t want any party to give us employees’ salaries as charity, but we want to benefit from Yemeni oil and gas. The era of Yemeni oil exploitation is over. Sana’a is responsible for 85% of Yemen’s human resources, including employees, security personnel and military personnel, and we cannot reach an understanding with a handful of mercenaries who are only responsible for 15% of Yemeni employees and security and military personnel.”

The Prime Minister of the National Salvation Government of Yemen emphasized that if the Saudi coalition does not reach an understanding with the Sana’a government, the Yemeni forces will not allow the companies to harvest a liter of Yemeni oil. Regarding the visit of a Saudi delegation to Sana’a, he said that there are many cases, including the case of prisoners and missing persons, the case of peace and economic issues between Sana’a and Riyadh.

On Tuesday, Abdul Aziz bin Habtour also stated about Monday’s warning attack near a foreign oil tanker that intended to steal Yemeni oil: “Next time, we will not warn the ships, but we will target it directly. The whole world should know that we will not allow our people to starve and they (Saudi and American coalition) loot Yemen’s wealth.” According to Fars, news sources reported on Monday afternoon about the explosion in Al-Dabbah port, located in the east of Makla city, the capital of Hadhramout province (Eastern Yemen). Local sources reported that a drone targeted Al-Dabah port. This attack took place just a few hours before the arrival of a foreign oil tanker.

These sources continued by stating that another attempt to loot Yemeni oil by the US failed. This tanker intended to transfer the cargo of two million barrels of crude oil to the European markets after looting from this port. Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, also informed about this operation, the Yemeni armed forces forced an oil tanker that was going to approach the port of Al-Dabh to leave this port. This port is occupied by the mercenaries of the aggressive Saudi-Emirati coalition.

This was the second time that al-Dabah port was attacked. Of course, this time the American defense system was deployed under the pretext of supporting the ports and oil structures under the occupation of the Saudi coalition, and these attacks are a strong blow to the self-proclaimed government affiliated to Riyadh.
