Faraan: Officials in Sanaa reported that the Chinese ambassador to Yemen spoke by telephone with Ansarullah’s spokesman about the humanitarian situation and the peace process in the country.

The official Yemeni news agency (Saba) reported on Thursday evening that Kang Yong, the Chinese ambassador to Yemen, had a telephone conversation with Mohammed Abdul Salam, the spokesman of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement and the head of the Sanaa negotiating team. The two sides discussed the political and humanitarian situation in Yemen and the process of declaring a possible humanitarian ceasefire with the UN nobility.UN envoy to Yemen Hans Grandberg recently said he was consulting with the Yemeni parties on the possibility of announcing a temporary ceasefire during the holy month of Ramadhan.

Ansarullah’s spokesman told the official Yemeni news agency about his consultation with the Chinese ambassador that in this contact the dire situation of the Yemeni people in the conditions of continuing aggression, siege and seizure of ships carrying oil products by the US-Saudi-Emirati aggressor coalition and preventing their entry into the port of Al-Hudaidah in western Yemen was examined.

According to Mohammad Abdul Salam, in another part of the conversation, the process of establishing peace in Yemen, stopping the aggression, lifting the siege of the Yemeni people were discussed. Furthermore, Abdul Salam stressed that the Yemeni people have been exposed to the worst crimes and sabotage of the Saudi coalition in the past seven years.

The head of the Sana’a negotiating team also said that he had informed the Chinese ambassador about the humanitarian situation and its deterioration following the continuing aggression, the siege and the refusal to allow ships carrying oil products to enter the port of Al-Hudaidah. A spokesman for the Ansarullah movement told the Chinese ambassador that Sanaa was ready to establish a just peace and begin humanitarian steps to lift the siege, followed by a comprehensive ceasefire and other steps.
