The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime asked the United States to try to reach an agreement with Lebanon regarding the drawing of the blue borders as soon as possible.
Faraan: According to the Hebrew language website “Walla”, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Yair Lapid, fearing the occurrence of an all-out conflict with Hezbollah, asked Amos Hochstein, the American mediator in the negotiations to draw the borders between Lebanon and the occupied territories, in order to reach an agreement with this country and take action regarding the drawing of blue borders as soon as possible.
This Hebrew website also announced that, on the sidelines of the recent visit of US President Joe Biden to the occupied territories of Hochstein, he met with Yair Lapid and Karin Al Harar, the Minister of Energy of the Zionist regime, in two separate meetings.
According to the report of this site, there are conflicting estimates regarding the chances of reaching a Lebanese-Israeli agreement regarding this issue, while Hochstein has expressed optimism about the chances of reaching this agreement as soon as possible. Israeli officials have emphasized that no progress has been made in the negotiations so far.
This Hebrew site also reported that Israel wants to reach an agreement with Beirut in the shadow of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, if there is no agreement regarding the rights of this country. The Walla site announced that Hochstein and Israel both want to reach an agreement with Lebanon before September, when Israel is likely to start extracting gas from the Karish field, and due to the nature of the dispute between the two sides, the chances of reaching this agreement seems very low until September.
In this regard, Channel 12 of the Zionist regime reported that Tel Aviv’s military and political authorities have consulted on the possibility of moving the gas extraction platform from Karish to another area to reduce the chances of Hezbollah’s attack, and this mission requires logistical measures.
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah emphasized on Wednesday: “Resistance is the only power that Lebanon has to get the right to its oil and gas, and the American mediator is working in line with Israel’s interests and putting pressure on Lebanon. It is the right of the resistance to put pressure on the Israeli enemy at the right time and in the right amount.
The Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah said that if things reached a negative point, they will not just stand in front of what he is doing. Rather, they shall take severe actions. About two months ago, in a message addressed to the United Nations, Lebanon emphasized its maritime rights and resources. The Karish gas field is located in the disputed area between Lebanon and the Israeli occupying regime.
