FARAAN: On Wednesday, the United States vetoed the draft resolution of the Security Council to establish a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. The purpose of this resolution was to guarantee the arrival of humanitarian aid to Gaza after 11 days of complete siege and cut off water, electricity and medicine.
Zhang Jun, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations, announced that his country was shocked by the action of the United States in vetoing this plan. He said: “I have to say that this action has shocked us. It is unbelievable.”
The shock that the representative of China talks about and says that he cannot understand this American behavior is not misplaced. America had already vetoed Russia’s plan to establish a humanitarian truce and send humanitarian aid to Gaza, only on the pretext that Hamas was not condemned in this plan.
Meanwhile, in Brazil’s plan, “all forms of violence and military and terrorist acts against civilians are condemned”. In this plan, Brazil has demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all the “hostages” who were captured by the Palestinian resistance during the Al-Aqsa storm operation on October 7.
It is clear, as we have said many times, that the main organizer of the war in Gaza is the United States, and this country is directly responsible for depriving the citizens of Gaza of all the basic facilities of life and responsible for the killing of more than 8,000 Palestinians, most of whom are women and children.
The remarkable thing is that the cover provided by America for the crimes of the Zionist regime; also, creating an air bridge to send military equipment and ammunition to this regime and sending an aircraft carrier and thousands of soldiers has made this regime even more brazen to continue its crimes and displace the people of Gaza, and it is clear that this is the goal of America because if it were otherwise, it would never have vetoed the aforementioned resolutions and allowed water, food, and medicine to reach Gaza.
All the actions of the United States, especially the visit of Joe Biden, the president of this country, to the occupied Palestine all indicate the dangerous plan that Washington has prepared for the issue of Palestine and the region. And this plan has caused this country to accept all the lies of the Zionist regime regarding the current events in Gaza.
When this country vetoes a plan that only calls for humanitarian aid to be sent to Gaza, that is less than 24 hours after the tragedy of the killing of al-Mu’amdani Hospital in Gaza by the Zionist regime and in a situation where all international, regional and warn about the domestic circles about the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, all proves that the Americans still think they can carry out their plans to forcibly evacuate the people of Gaza.
The Americans can plan as much as they want and the Zionist regime can commit crimes to implement these plans, but the important thing is, do these plans lead anywhere? To answer this question, we have to go back a little and more specifically to 2006 and the time of the Zionist regime’s attack on Lebanon. At that time, America rejected all invitations to stop the attack on Lebanon.
Condoleezza Rice, the country’s foreign minister at the time, arrogantly announced to the whole world that this war is the beginning of the birth of a new Middle East; A Middle East where “Israel” will be the absolute power. But the Islamic resistance in Lebanon overturned this plan and caused the United States and its protégé “Israel” to resort to a truce. The same fate awaits the current plan of America.
