FARAAN: The protests against the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy in Gaza exposed the lying of the West as a supporter of this regime in the field of civilization, culture, human rights, democracy and freedom of expression. In recent days, the world saw how the security forces and police of the West violently dealt with student protests and they suppressed the revolution of the academicians in response to the massacre of the people of Gaza, which is carried out by the Zionist regime and with the blind support of the West.
The world saw that the American police brutally attacked and arrested professors and students after throwing them on the ground under the pretext of “anti-Semitism”, even though the American constitution granted them the absolute right to freedom of speech and the freedom to hold peaceful gatherings. In Europe, demonstrations declaring support for Palestine were suppressed by the police, intellectuals and activists supporting Gaza were arrested in countries such as France, Austria, and Germany, and in the Netherlands, more than 300 activities were suppressed on charges of anti-Semitism.
Western civilization, which claims to be not only the defender of human rights but also the defender of animal rights, is not only silent in front of the crimes of the Israeli regime against the people of Gaza, but also sends weapons to the Zionist regime and arrests those who are protesting against the massacre of the people of Gaza. In the West, the religious beliefs of two billion people can be ridiculed, but criticism of the West’s blind support of the Zionist regime or condemnation of Israeli terrorism is prohibited and is considered anti-Semitic (Jewish). It is on this basis that the voices criticizing the Israeli regime’s terrorism in American universities by students and professors is violently oppressed.
This is why Netanyahu called the revolution of American university students against Zionist terrorism anti-Semitic, but Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders told him: This revolution is not anti-Semitic or to approve Hamas, but to express the fact that your extremist government in the last 6 months, has killed more than 34,000 Palestinians and wounded more than 77,000, whereby 70% of whom are women and children. Therefore, today slogans such as Israel’s right to exist and anti-Semitism in the American society, especially in the universities of this country, have turned into slogans such as the fight against apartheid, massacres and ethnic cleansing.
