The emphasis of the people of the occupied Golan on struggle until liberation

On the 48th anniversary of the raising of the Syrian flag in Al-Quneitra, Syria, residents of the occupied Golan Heights stressed their resilience in the face of the Israeli occupation regime and their commitment to their Arab-Syrian identity.

Faraan: The liberation of Quneitra from the occupation of the occupying regime and the raising of the Syrian flag in the sky by the then President Hafez al-Assad on June 26, 1974, as a sign of the sacrifices of the army and Our martyrs took part in the battles of the October Liberation War, and this history emphasizes that the Golan Heights is an Arab-Syrian region and will eventually be liberated by the Syrian army from the occupying regime.”

Al-Qumat stated: “All the oppressive actions of the occupying regime against the people of the Golan, including closing the Al-Quneitra crossing and preventing them from communicating with other parts of Syria, as well as seizing the lands of this region to build wind turbines and trying to expel the people of the Golan will all fail. Sheikh Jad al-Karim Nasser also said that the people of the occupied Golan in Syria will be faithful to their promise to adhere to the Arab-Syrian identity and to the homeland despite the continuing occupation.

He said: “The anniversary of the raising of the Syrian flag in the skies of Quneitra is an emphasis on the right of the people of this region to be protected and victory over the occupying Israeli regime in the Golan Heights is certain.”

The plan to build wind turbines is one of the most dangerous colonial plans of the Zionist regime, which targets the occupation of 6,000 hectares of land in the Syrian Golan in three stages; In the first phase of the program, the Zionist regime has occupied the lands of Ayoun al-Hajl, al-Mansoura, and al-Thalajiyat, and has installed 42 wind turbines at a height of 120 meters.  In the second phase, the regime has targeted the lands of the villages of Majdal Shams, Masadeh, Ain Qinya, and in the third phase, the villages of Bakateh and the Tal Al-Fars area. During the Six-Day War in 1967, the Zionist regime occupied large parts of the Syrian Golan.
