The Committee of Prisoners of the National and Islamic Forces and organizations active in the field of defense of prisoners’ rights held a rally today in front of the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza to express solidarity with the prisoners of the Zionist occupier regime.
Faraan: Nashat al-Wahidi, head of the Committee of Prisoners, told Al-Alam: “The time has come for these international organizations to raise the slogan of human rights and protection of human rights, with the help of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons.”
Palestinian resistance groups, along with the families of the captives, also took part in the protest, calling on the international community to take action to end their children’s suffering.
The mother of one of the captives said, “My message to all the Arab nations and to those who have the slightest bit of faith in them is to stand up for the captives. Our captives must be released as our land will be liberated.”
5,000 Palestinian prisoners are fighting for their lives and freedom inside the Israeli prisons, 700 of whom are ill, while about 300 prisoners need urgent surgery.
