The head of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen said: “The people of Yemen will respond to the insolence of America’s interference in their country’s affairs by continuing to resist and will not remain silent in the face of the looting of their resources.”
Faraan: According to the report of the Ahednews site, Mahdi Al-Mashat, during a speech on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Yemen’s independence, emphasized that “the brazen positions of the United States against the Yemeni people make us more determined to continue the resistance for the freedom and independence of our country”, he said: “Apparently the colonialists have not learned the necessary lesson from the event of Yemen’s independence, and today they have come to the field with a wider coalition in the hope of returning Yemen to the colonial era.”
He added: “It is unfortunate that this occasion has coincided with the Golan Heights of the Americans in the occupied provinces of our country. Today’s occupiers have reached the point where they have given themselves the right to interfere in the affairs of our country and condemn our resistance against the looting of our country’s wealth and national resources in various forums.”
Al-Mashat continued: “Today’s occupiers see the defense and resistance of our people against robbers as a wrong action and against their interests. This unprecedented arrogance doubles our insistence on continuing the path of freedom and independence and expelling the new colonialists again and realizing the freedom, independence and national sovereignty of Yemen.”
Al-Mashat emphasized the firm position of the Ansarullah movement to protect the right of the Yemeni people to determine their own destiny and prevent the looting of their oil and gas wealth according to the constitution and the logic of legitimate defense. He further stated, “Our decision to protect this national wealth does not in any way imply any threat to international shipping, the real threat is from those who commit this aggression and robbery.”
The head of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen also emphasized the need to pay the salaries of all government employees and said: “This issue is not debatable and the efforts of the aggressor countries led by the United States to prevent the payment of employees’ salaries and disrupt efforts for peace are condemned. We are responsible for the consequences and We know the consequences of this aggressive behavior towards these people.”
Al-Mashat said: “Yemeni people will not remain silent in the face of the most difficult siege of a nation in modern and ancient history – while their national resources are being looted before their eyes.” He advised the American and Saudi aggressor forces to follow the path of fair and honorable peace by obeying the wishes of the Yemeni people and accelerating the payment of the salaries of all government employees.
