FARAAN: Some people believed that the World Quds Day will remain within the geographical boundaries of Iran and only a symbolic day, but experience proved that this belief was completely wrong, and today the Quds Day is an integral part of the practices of the holy month of Ramadan among all the Muslims around the world.
The wisdom behind Imam Khomeini’s (RA) decision to choose the last Friday of Ramadan as the International Quds Day is becoming more apparent to the world community. Quds is not an ordinary city like other cities, but it is a belief, identity, slogan and compass of every Muslim.
Although the dimensions of this great wisdom of the founder of the Islamic Republic, with the transfer of the Palestinian case from the Arab environment to the wider and larger Islamic environment, have become almost obvious, and the events of the last few days in Palestine and the region revealed other dimensions of this tact and caused an awakening in the Islamic nations.
In order to be aware of the influence of Jerusalem as an infallible compass for the Palestinians and Islamic nations, we take a quick look at the goals and expectations of the American-Zionist evil coalition, which aims to eliminate the Palestinian issue, disintegrate the axis of resistance, and drown the region in chaos.
By using all its tools and capacities, and by pressuring some Arab governments to normalize with the occupying regime over the past years, the United States, has bet on the elimination of the Palestinian issue. With the aim of preventing Palestinian unity and keeping the Gaza Strip isolated, America and the Israeli regime have bet on creating a division between this strip and the West Bank.
The Israeli regime divides the Palestinians based on geography, such as the “Arab 48”, the Quds people, the West Bank and the people of Gaza, counting on dispersing them and pretending that each of these Palestinians in this category has their own problems, issues and concerns. America and the Israeli regime tried to impose a world war on Syria in order to weaken and divide Syria and remove it from the axis of resistance.
They also focused on weakening Hezbollah in Syria by sending Takfiri groups from all over the world and transferring them to Syria and turning the war in Syria into a sectarian conflict. The United States and the Israeli regime, in continuation of their conspiratorial policies, have planned to create distance and separation of resistance areas in Palestine and the region.
All these plans and bets of America and Israel have failed, thanks to Quds, and therefore, the occupying regime is trying to empty Quds of its original owners with continuous attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and encroachment on holy places.
While the West Bank has become a shield for the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and not only the West Bank and the Gaza Strip have united, but the alliance between the resistance fields in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Quds, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Yemen has been formed.
Now, with the passage of time, the wisdom of naming the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the World Quds Day by Imam Khomeini (RA) has been fully revealed. There is no difference between Muslims on this issue, that Friday is the best day of God and Ramadan is the best month of God and the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque is like the sanctity of the two holy shrines in the eyes of God. If these symbols do not unite Muslims, then what is the factor of unity?
