The Turkish army bombs northern Iraq and Syria

The Turkish army bombed areas in northern Iraq and Syria on Thursday morning under the pretext of fighting terrorist and militant groups.

Faraan: Arab media reported early Thursday morning on Turkish military airstrikes and artillery shelling in northern Iraq and Syria. Turkey is reportedly heavily bombarding positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) along the Al-Sajour River.

Local sources say Turkish artillery and air strikes on Qassad positions may be the beginning of a new Turkish military operation in northern Syria. Accordingly, Turkish Air Force fighter jets bombed the positions of Isad at the same time as Isa, and at the same time a large military convoy of Turkish troops is entering northern Syria.

The sources also wrote that the Turkish fighter jets also heavily bombed areas in northern Iraq. “Turkey has invaded the villages of the town of Abu Rassin in the northwestern suburbs of al-Hasakah with artillery and rocket fire,” the official Syrian News Agency (SANA) quoted its correspondent in al-Hasakah as saying.
