Iran’s president stated, “Regular meetings of the joint commission for economic cooperation between Iran and Vietnam can help find solutions to actualise the capacities of the two countries in the fields of agriculture, technology, transportation and other fields”.
Faraan: Speaking in the ceremony of receiving the credentials of the new Ambassador of Vietnam to Tehran on Monday morning, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi referred to the friendly relations between Tehran and Hanoi, saying, “The current level of Iran-Vietnam ties is not proportionate to the diverse capacities that exist in the two countries”.
The President added, “Regular meetings of the joint commission for economic cooperation between Iran and Vietnam can help find solutions to actualise the capacities of the two countries in the fields of agriculture, technology, transportation and other fields”.
Dr Raisi stated that we see the Vietnamese as a people who stood up against colonialism and domination, in which we have close positions, and stated, “History will never forget the crimes of America against the Vietnamese nation”.
At this meeting, the new Ambassador of Vietnam said that Iranians are peace-loving people with a rich and historical culture and civilisation, adding, “Iran has made great progress and achievements despite years of sanctions and pressure”.
Appreciating the active foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and giving priority to the development of relations with all countries in the region and the world, the ambassador of Vietnam noted, “Vietnam has always had good relations with Iran and we are working to improve the level of cooperation, especially in the economic and commercial fields”.
