Turkey’s renewed attack on Syrian territory

Turkish forces once again targeted areas in northern Syria with artillery and mortars.  The correspondent of the official Syrian news agency “SANA” in “Haske” reported today (Sunday) about the Turkish artillery attack on areas of northern Syria.

Faraan: According to this report, the Turkish “occupying” forces targeted all the villages around the city of “Aborasin” in the northwest of Haskeh. No information has been released yet about the possible damages of this attack.

On the 27th of July, Syrian opposition sources reported the Turkish drone attack on the joint headquarters of the Syrian army and the Syrian army militias in the city of “Tal Rifat” in the north of Aleppo province. According to the Afrin News 24 website (affiliated to the Kurdish militia), this attack in the center of “Tal Rifat” and in the “Al-Shahba” area did not result in human casualties and only caused material damage.

This event occurred while the military cooperation between the Syrian army and the Kurdish militias has increased in the last week, and yesterday news was published about the dispatch of 300 Syrian army troops along with six tanks and a helicopter to the city of Manbij. On the other hand, it was announced yesterday that the Syrian army is equipping its forces in the border areas in order to counter Turkey’s threats to launch an operation in northern Syria.

A field source told the Sputnik news agency that the Syrian army built three new military bases around the village of “Altrauziya” located in the north of Raqqa province (northern Syria). These headquarters are near the international road known as “M-4”.
