Ukraine has severed ties with Syria

The Ukrainian president cut ties with Syria under the pretext of Damascus’ decision on the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk.

Faraan: The Ukrainian government announced on Thursday morning that it had completely severed ties with the Syrian government. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said he has cut ties with Syria in response to Damascus’ decision to recognize the self-proclaimed republics of Donetsk and Luhansk.

“There will be no more relations between Ukraine and Syria,” Zelenskyy said in a video message on his official telegram channel. Syria has decided to recognize the independence and sovereignty of the Luhansk People’s Republic and the Donetsk People’s Republic,” a Syrian Foreign Ministry official told SANA on Wednesday evening.

“We will work with both countries to agree on frameworks to strengthen relations, including establishing diplomatic relations in accordance with established rules,” the Syrian official explained. Earlier, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, during a meeting with a joint delegation from Russia and the self-proclaimed republic of Donetsk, said that Ukraine was run by terrorists and neo-Nazis in the United States.

The members of the delegation stressed that they want to strengthen their relations with Syria in all areas and improve its level. The Donetsk foreign minister delivered a message from the country’s president to Assad, which was welcomed. The Syrian president also stressed that Damascus is trying to improve its relations with Donetsk to a political level. Al-Assad congratulated the liberation of most of the Donbas region, stating that Russia and Syria are fighting in a war against an enemy; Because the side that manages terrorists and neo-Nazis is America.
