Yemeni Army: We shot down a Saudi Air Force drone

The Yemeni army announced the downing of the third invading drone of Saudi Arabia in northwestern Yemen.

Faraan: Yemeni Armed Forces’ spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sari announced the downing of a Saudi-owned drone in northern Yemen.

He announced on his Twitter account on Tuesday that the Yemeni army’s defense had identified and destroyed a drone belonging to the Saudi Air Force during a hostile and espionage mission in violation of a two-month ceasefire agreement in the Najran border region.

He noted that the operation took place today, during which a Saudi aggressor drone was shot down by a surface-to-air missile. A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces said he would release video and images of the operation and details of the drone in the future. It is worth mentioning that this is the third drone that the Yemeni army has destroyed in a week.

This morning, a Chinese-made drone of the Saudi coalition was intercepted and destroyed over the city of Sanaa, and the day before, the Yemeni defense had shot down a Turkish drone belonging to the Saudi Air Force “Caryl”.

In a period of ten days, the two-month ceasefire between the Saudi aggressor coalition and the Yemeni allies and between the Yemeni National Salvation Government and Ansar al-Islam will end. However, despite the possibility of renewing it, Saudi Arabia is intensifying violations of the agreement like sending drones and creating obstacles is one of the examples of violating the agreement on the fronts.
