Yemeni sources: Sanaa and Riyadh are negotiating in the capital of Oman

Yemeni political sources said that the negotiating teams of Sana’a and the Saudi coalition have started a new round of negotiations in the capital of Oman.

Faraan: Yemeni political sources announced on Saturday the existence of a new plan and initiative to reach a long-term ceasefire between the government of Sana’a and the Saudi coalition. These political sources told the Al-Khabar Al-Yamani website that the negotiating teams of Sana’a and the Saudi coalition in Muscat, the capital of Oman, are currently negotiating this plan.

According to these sources, in this plan, which is still being discussed, the Saudi coalition will undertake to pay the salaries of the employees from the Yemeni oil sales site. At the same time, Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries along the Persian Gulf will provide financial assistance to pay the salaries of military and security retirees.

They also expressed hope that this initiative will reach a final plan in the coming days and it is still under review by Sana’a and Riyadh. Al-Khabar al-Yamani further quoted Yemeni political sources and wrote that the government of Saudi Arabia has no desire for renewed military tension, but the pressure on Riyadh from the United States and England has caused a delay in reaching a final agreement.

The reluctance of the Saudi coalition to continue the war with the Yemeni army and Ansarullah, while last week, at the same time as the new field achievements of the Yemeni army and people’s committees in the southern regions of Yemen, the “Al-Majlis al-Janoubi” (Transitional Council of the South) group, which claims separatism and the support of the United Arab Emirates has given new messages to the government of Sana’a. Additionally, the officials of the Southern Transitional Council have said in comments that they will not participate in any of the operations of the Saudi coalition in the north of Yemen and against the government of Sana’a.
