FARAAN: An Israeli psychiatrist called on the political and military leaders of the respective regime to agree to an agreement to release the prisoners, if they are really alive, and to work to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.
Norit Felsenthal-Berger, who is a psychiatrist and the mother of an Israeli soldier who fights in Gaza, said that the campaign called “Parents of Soldiers Active in Gaza” – of which she is a member – all shout: “Enough of the war!”
He stated in his article in Haaretz newspaper, “He and other members of this campaign supported the war in the beginning, but now Gaza has become a death trap for our children and we are against its continuation.”
This Israeli psychiatrist said that the war in Gaza is led by extremists who never want it to end, our message to them is very simple: “Enough! Stop the war”.
Berger further explained that the “Parents of Soldiers in Gaza” campaign calls for a political and legal solution to end the months of fighting and bloodshed which is not mentioned in the headlines of the “Israeli” media.
He also said: “We are witnessing the suffering and pain and the increase of the dead without any of the specific goals being achieved and we are always living in a state of constant fear and anxiety… we do not sleep and we hardly breathe”.
He further stated that the purpose of the ongoing war in Gaza is to secure the interests of Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet members and said: “We sent a letter signed by 900 parents of soldiers active in Gaza and more than 2,000 of its supporters to the war cabinet, and we have asked the cabinet to accept the responsibility of protecting the lives of our children who are fighting in Gaza. However, we have not received an answer in this regard yet.”
